Sorry if this has been addressed previously; just wondering what the fastest route is from HS to Epcot considering the new Skyliner construction? I believe in the past it was advised to walk - is that path still open/still an option? Do the Friendship boats still run?

Thanks for any info, will be there tomorrow!

The walking path is still open but its my understanding it re-routes you now by DHS, so it makes for a longer walk. And I *think* this is due to the bus station construction at DHS rather than the Skyliner, but I could be wrong about that.

Two weeks ago, we took the Friendship Boats from Epcot to DHS, took about 20-25 minutes. There is no disruption to the Friendship Boats from the Skyliner construction.

The walk can still be quicker if you are a fast walker, but, the additional zig zagging near Hollyweird would make me consider the boat a little more to save steps. I'm pretty lazy tho.

Are the boats faster than the bus?

No, the boats are slow (25-30 minutes park to park); the bus is usually faster. But the overall time partly depends on whether you are in Epcot closer to the boat dock at the IG, or to the bus depot at the front of the park.

Also to consider: at DHS, the current temporary bus stop is a 10 minute walk from the park entrance, while the boats drop you off right at the entrance.

The boat dock at Epcot IG is scheduled to be closed for 3 weeks starting 11/28, but you'd still be able to walk to BW or YC and board a boat to DHS there.
