Quickest route from Greenville, SC, I75 or I95??

Hello,

We moved from Tampa to Greenville, SC last year and are going back to Disney for Christmas. We are trying to decide between taking I95 down the east coast or I75 through GA. We've taken I75 many times but I was curious if I95 would be quicker from this area. Mapquest has it about dead even. Any thoughts?

Could you see if there is any construction on either route? That would

Unless you are sure of missing Atlanta traffick, go with I85 to I95.
Typically we would go from Greenville to Orlando in about 7-8 hours, depending on traffick.
By the way, if you go that way be sure to avoid the Mcdonald's in Orangeburg, SC. I have never gotten worse service in my life than I have on the two occasions we stopped there.

I'd definitely say NOT I95. We made one trip to Orlando on I95, and there was lots and lots of traffic, and our two trips on the other route (through Atlanta) were much faster and had much less traffic. (All three trips were in January of three different years.) Also, if you're going at Christmas, remember that everyone going to the bowl games is also going to be heading that way, and most people from the NE are using I95. My dad has travelled that way (from Sumter, SC) to bowl games for several years, and always ends up sitting in standstill traffic on I95. (If you're heading down well before the games start, that might not be as much of an issue, I guess.)

We'll be heading down in Mid-December, on a Friday after work. I'm worried about Atlanta traffic vs. Columbia traffic.
