Quick WOC picnics question

I have bought the picnics at walk up before. My friend is coming in from Texas this week. She and her DS really want to do WOC on Friday. They will arrive at DLR around noon. My family won't arrive to join them until 5 ish.

My question is, can she buy/pay for all our picnics at lunch time? Then we can all pick them up and eat them when we arrive. Or will it be a problem since we won't be there when she purchases them? I wouldn't think so, but when I bought them it wasn't for a group, it was just me and DS.

I read somewhere that if you do walk-up picnic orders, you have to take the picnics with you when you purchase them. Don't know if this is current info though.
