My wife is a teacher here in Tampa. She and a couple of other teachers took her 7th graders on a field trip to EPCOT on 5/04/01. My kids and I drove over later in the day to join her. We took advantage of the teacher discount at the Swan. This was our first trip to the Swan. It was very nice. We enjoyed being able to walk into Epcot. The boat ride was a nice change of pace. We met her Friday in EPCOT (we were looking for our kids Legacy picture - it is not up yet) and then rode Spaceship Earth. We had dinner in Norway, rode the Maelstrom and let the kids play on the Viking ship, and then explored Japan. She was wiped from her day with the students so we headed back to the resort. We spent time relaxing in the hammocks and then crashed. We got up early the next am for the opening of MGM. We love the Star Wars characters. We ate breakfast at the ABC Commissary (one of our favorite breakfast spots) and then rode backlot tours. My son did his usual pilgramige to Star Tours and we then took our daughter to Voyage of the Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast. After a quick lunch at Pizza Planet we headed back to the hotel for a few hours to swim and relax. We went to EPCOT for dinner and to watch Impressions de France (a wonderful and relaxing movie). We finished up the night with Tapestry of Nations and Illuminations. Sunday am we got up early and drove to MK. We thought we would try this. Usually we ride the bus service from the resort to the park and back on our last day, but we thought this would be faster - NOT! We will always use the transportation in the future. Magic Kingdom was great. It was not at all crowded. We had a great lunch at Aunt Polly's. The longest waits we had were all about 25-30 minutes (Splash Mountain, Buzz Lightyear, and Tomorrowland Speedway). All in all it was another relaxing get-a-way to Disney. :bounce:  :bounce:

It would be wonderful to take a weekend trip to Disney! Your wife is very brave taking those kids to a theme park! I'm sure the kids had a wonderful time too!
