I think I know but would like some reassurance!

Your passport has to still be valid for 6 MONTHS after the date of your travel to be eligible. Is this correct?

Your passport legally has to be valid for your return to the UK, i.e. if your passport expires on 21st january you'd have to leave the U.S on the 20th january. There are tour operators who insist it has to be valid for 6 months after your return to the UK but this is not a requirement needed by US customs. Theoretically you should allow a few weeks expiration after your return simply in case of if you have an accident and need to stay longer in the US or if your flight is delayed.

When I went last year my passport was only valid for 3 months and I never had any problems.
