Quick vent (when you're traveling with people who drag their feet)

I've been traveling to WDW with my best friend since we were 14 years old and when we became adults we've taken girls-only trips there many times, and I swear, she does this EVERY TIME.

We're leaving in less than a month. I've had my ticket ready for ages. The 60-day window is far gone, OK fine, but now the 30-day mark has passed as well.

We're taking her 6-year-old niece and it's not gonna be my fault when we can't get on any rides she wants to go on.

I feel for you, which is why I always think long and hard when vacationing with certain people. I've experienced that with my sister and her family. I like to sleep in on vacation, but not waste the day away, and they do. My husband can't make our August trip and my sister suggested I move our trip up a week (when she's going). I politely declined because I honestly like how my family and I do the parks, and really don't want anyone holding us back from doing things that we want to do. So for the first time, I'll be a "single" mom at the parks!! But yeah...we oftentimes just rather take vacations with just us and the kids!

If you have fun when you are there, and she has been doing this every time, chances are you will have fun this trip too
Try not to stress over it, some people just aren't the planners that others are. Make your FP+ for what you want and let her know the times. If she doesn't do it, and they aren't available she can wait in the SB line.

Oh, and I don't like vacationing with others, not because I am a my way or the highway person. I'm a I like to do what I like to do person and don't want to get stuck not doing anything that I want to do KWIM.

Book FPs for yourself now and then as soon as they do buy their tickets, Modify your FPs and "Change Party" to add them. More likely to work for MK.

This is a possibility, and really I could be more patient. We always have fun no matter what.

That is why I do not travel with others any longer. My brother and his girlfriend want to come on our next trip, they have never been. I know how they are, and will drag their feet on purchasing stuff so I'm just not bringing it up again. If they want to come I'll give them the name of my travel agent and not get involved.

hmm, tough situation you're going through.
we're a family of 6 and every trip we go on 5 out of 6 people are on the same page, and the 1 person is dragging their feet behind which causes us to cut rides and attractions. i'm praying this doesn't happen this upcoming trip.

I know what you mean. When I travel with my sister and her husband anywhere, he really drags his feet when it comes to planning anything, and she goes along with it for the most part. They are coming to Disney for a couple days while I am there in September, but haven't renewed their AP's yet to do FP. My sister has a one day ticket from an old package, so I was able to get FEA for the two of us, but since he won't have a ticket in the system until the day we go to the park, I plan on letting him use my FP for the ride that day and I will sit it out. I have a few other FEA FP since I'm there ten days, but it would be so much easier if they would just plan ahead. I don't know if we will have any luck with other FP for that weekend or not, since I'd rather not sit everything our that day. I could try the copy thing, but doing it day of might not work. Has anyone had success with day of FP copying?

In MDE, it is now "Change Party" and you'll just add him into your booked FP. The system will check for availability and for only 1 person, it'll be much easier than when you are searching for 2.
