Hi I am contemplating a quick trip (Thurs night - Sunday night) with my girls (7 &4) and my sister and her 6 month old. My girls and I have been to disney quite a few times (just this past November) but we ususally go for at least 7 days. I am really needing a disney trip fix, so I thought if I can get a good airfare rate then I would just go for a long weekend.

My question is: tell me if you've done this and how did it turn out???

We would only be doing the MK and Epcot. We would have all day Friday, Saturday and we wouldn't be leaving until after 8 pm on Sunday. My girls are great travelers, but I am not sure if I am insane. My sister is one of those go with the flo kind of girls and her son is very mellow as well. they would go back to the room if they needed to, and we would continue with our day.

Would love some feedback. Thanks, Pamela

I took DD8 for a long weekend this past fall (MNSSHP, last-minute trip) and we had a ball. As long as everyone travels well, a couple of days at WDW is better than none! :)

I would say go for it - and have a GREAT time!!!!! I can't wait until our next trip!!:cool1:

We've sort of done it. We went from a Friday morning to a Tuesday morning. My recommendation would be to stay at a monorail resort for ease of getting back and forth. On such a short trip, the last thing you want to do is spend a lot of time on buses or waiting for buses, etc.

Here is what we did and it worked well: We stayed at Poly. We planned on going to just MK and Epcot parks and not pressuring to get to the other 2 parks. We only made one ADR for a character meal (Chef Mickeys). We left it up in the air if we'd go back to Poly mid-day for a break/nap/swimming, and by staying at the Poly it was VERY easy to go with the flow because of the monorail.

We had fun -- it was exciting because there was really no time to slack off and we felt we should make the most of our time there and not take anything for granted.

We just did a 4 dayer in January. Finding good airfares sealed the deal for us. Some co-workers of mine were surprised we were going for 4 days. We are addicted !
We spent one day at each park -- no problems (just a bit chilly).

OK, never did it with kids, but DH and I took a "quick" trip this past December Sunday through Wednesday - it was just perfect! We did all of the parks, plus Downtown Disney, toured some resorts, ate some nice meals. I think you would have a great time! After all, any time in Disney is better than NO time in Disney, right? :thumbsup2 Have fun!

We do a 3 or 4 day trip every year because we can't take DS out of school now that he's older. It's totally worth it, even though the trip is a whirlwind. Gotta love Ding fares!

I say go for it too! :thumbsup2 we just did a quickie last month. DH had to go to Orlando on business and we needed a Disney fix so we tagged along for part of the week. Sat & Wed were travel days so we had 3 days at the parks. We spent two at MK and the third at AK, we had a blast. We really concentrated on the rides we had to do, made TS ADR for each night so DH could meet us and had lots of fun. I left the kids "in charge" of picking the rides and they thought it was so cool.
