I'll be there from jan 3rd to jan 24th and would really like to get to a beach, we can't drive so can't rent any car at all, is there any excursion of some kind that would just bring us from Orlando onto a beach for 1 day, that would be amazing.
when I drove cab in Orlando I used to take people on day trips to Daytona or Cocoa often. It is a full day trip usually so my usual fee for a full day was around $250. Ask a cabbie for his fee for a day trip.
I would seriously consider renting a car. If that's not possible, then it's more than likely undoable. Cocoa Beach is an hour away, St. Pete/Tampa about 90 mins away. To get a car service or a cab to take you to and from would be very expensive. It's a very easy drive to Cocoa Beach....so if a rental car is a possibility, I would do that.
I swear I saw a company that would take you via a shuttle bus from Orlando to one of the beaches, maybe Clearwater. Sorry I can't remember where I came across it. Maybe try contacting the Orlando visitor's center
PS I remember the price being about $68 per person
Glad others found tour options. My aunt was just recently telling me about a comfy bus that goes from Orlando to the Daytona Beach area and back; she might be taking it, because she lives near the Daytona Beach area, but never gets good airfare to/from there. But I couldn't remember the name of it, so like I said, glad others came up with options.
Hum, more expensive than what I was expecting there, water parks will have to do the job for this trip, I can't have a driver license and my friend was in a car crash when he was 21 and he would never ever touch a steering wheel again except on go-karts and the Tomorrowland speedway at MK.
