I took my 2 sons on a 5-day surprise trip to WDW from 9/15-9/19. Just got back late last night (boo hoo!) and wanted to give you all a quick review of our trip. The surprise was a complete success by the way!! I never saw my boys move SO fast in my life when I woke them up at 5:45 a.m.!!!

All-Star Sports - very very loud! Not sure I'd stay here again unless I really had to.... Bus service was fine though- no complaints...

Dining Plan - worked like a charm! We had some absolutely WONDERFUL meals! We pooled credits with no problem. Kona Cafe and Le Cellier allowed my 8 yo child to order an adult appetizer (which we didn't do because we didn't need that much food). Kona also allowed smoothies on the plan, but we didn't do that either... We ate at the "new" Ohanas - very very good!! I almost cancelled this meal because I was treating my parents to their first Disney meal and wanted it to be special for them. So glad I didn't cancel because they LOVED it! All the food was delicious!! Even the bread pudding which I don't normally care for! Flametree Barbeque was very specific that I could only get 2 adults and 1 child's meal when I went to order (which was fine with me - that is what I was planning on doing anyways...) We had OUTSTANDING meals at Kona Cafe (will definitely go back!), Ohana, Concourse Steakhouse, and Le Cellier Steakhouse. There is a new lunch menu at Le Cellier - I tried the seared beef tips with a basil & something else risotto (my memory is SO bad -should have written this down) with grilled asparagus and a lemon sauce. It was to DIE FOR!!!! :) There was also a new shrimp and penne pasta dish that sounded good as well. We used up all our credits without a problem - would have liked more snack credits though for water....

Theme Parks - We went to all 4 parks and were able to walk on just about every ride (except Soarin' - which was about 45 minutes at 8:00 p.m.). We never needed a fast pass for anything!!!! We rode all our favorites over and over again - even in the middle of the afternoon! I've never seen the parks this empty! I was just looking at our photos online (photopass - love it!) and saw our MK picture in front of the castle - there is hardly anyone on Main Street and it was about 1:30 p.m.! Amazing!!

Magical Express - WONDERFUL! We only used it for the trip down because my mom was bringing us back to the airport. We landed at 10:25 a.m. and were in our room by noon time!! :) Our bags were there when we came back from MK that night so not sure what time they actually arrived - I was just so happy to walk into my room at 10:00 p.m. and see them all sitting there!! :)

The weather was absolutely GORGEOUS the entire five days we were there!! Beautiful blue skies and not a drop of rain! :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

OK, so I want to go back REAL BAD!!!!!! :cool1:

Sounds like a great trip. I have to know, weren't you the one looking for your son's underware last week? Did you ever find it?

Deserted parks sounds awesome. Sorry you found ASsp to be loud but if that's what it took to get the free dining plan, it probably was worth it right?

Ohhhh I hope that they offer it again some time soon!

Hope you are not too down about being back. That is the worst feeling of all.

3crazymice - LOL!! Yes, that was me - the mom looking for her son's underwear to pack and couldn't find it anywhere!! :) Yesterday, I did 6 loads of laundry and it all turned up magically! I'm pretty sure I checked the hamper the day before we left and didn't find it there so I'm thinking he had stuffed all his clean underwear back into the laundry room under the pile of dirty towels on the floor (instead of putting them away in his drawer like I asked!!). Oh well, at least the mystery is solved. I'm trying to find the original thread now so I can update everyone on the missing undies....
