Cast: me and mom, looking for magic and pixie dust
Finished our day of parkhopping with a trip to MK for Wishes. We arrived just as Spectromagic was over, so "swam" like salmon upstream to the hub to find a piece of sidewalk.
Wishes is spectacular!! I loved it!
Definitely will be a must-do each trip! You just have to see it, if you haven't. And I'm glad we watched from the hub...maybe even a little further back on Main Street would have been cool, but I see why people on the DIS have recommended a central location, as opposed to off to the sides.
We grabbed fast food at the POR food court, and headed to bed so we could get up early. Note on the food court...hate the soda prices, but other stuff is about what I'd expect for theme park food. Prefer this food court to Captain Cook's counter service at the Poly by a long shot. I suppose the Poly doesn't "need" better counter service, since they have more options for dining?
In the morning, we ate a quick breakfast at the food court, and headed to play on Disney transportation. OK...we were really heading to MK for the Keys to the Kingdom tour, for which we were to arrive at 8:15 am for an 8:30 tour. I had called the front desk the night before, and she said busses would start running to MK at 8 am (for a 9 am opening). hmmm...that might cut it close, esp. if we can't get on that bus.... Idea: Epcot was to be early entry, so those busses would start at 7 am. And there's the monorail from Epcot to MK (TTC) which would also be running. How about we bus to Epcot, then monorail to TTC to be sure we're there on time! So we did that...and since the monorail wasn't busy, we got to ride in front...and then took the ferry from TTC to MK...got there just at 8:15! perfect! (turns out we might have been able to bus straight there...I saw other park busses out before 8...but it was a fun way to cruise around WDW).
KTTK tour was great....I posted something about it in response to a post on the Theme Park Attractions board, so won't repeat it, other than to say I highly recommend it. Used my AP to get us a discount on tickets (booked before we left).
