Quick Trip in mid December - Need Advice

Staying 4 days in Orlando, staying at the Aventura (Dec 11-14).
Primary goal is check out Hagrid and Rise.

My questions...
Which day should I go to DHS?
How good is that Christmas Party at the Magic Kingdom?
What are your thoughts about that Mid Day Ticket? Looks like there is no one day option only two days.
What would the weather be like?

Hard to say about DHS. Rise of the Resistance will just have opened on 12/5, so expect DHS to be quite crowded at least in the morning while everyone flocks to that attraction. The opening of Galaxy's Edge and Smugglers' Run didn't draw the overwhelming crowds that were expected. Hard to know if this attraction will make that much of a difference.

I personally don't care for it - too expensive and too crowded for me - but others strongly disagree and find it to be the highlight of the season. If you're at all interested and don't mind the cost, you should probably check it out.
I'm afraid I don't know anything about the mid day ticket.
The weather is a toss up . Generally speaking, December is pleasantly warm, but it has the potential to be quite chilly. Your best bet to prepare is to check the weather forecast a couple days before you go. That will at least give you a sense of the temperature trends for the next several days and whether they are above or below normal, and then you can pack accordingly.
