DH, 42, wanted somewhere warm and cheap and let me decide where to go
Day Three: Jan. 19
Crowds: moderate (morning) heavier (evening)
weather: Perfect
Today we are doing MGM and EPCOT. Were at the park by 8:30 and waiting for the rope drop at 9:00. First offRock n Roller Coaster. Awesome. Then we hop over to Tower of Terror. I forgot to mention, but yesterday we saw a movie for Tower of Tower with Steve Guttenberg. DH said he has seen it (but if you read yesterdays return you know NOT to trust his memory about anything) and he liked it so we bought it. Then back to Rock N Roller Coaster for Fastpass and a ride; then back to TOT for fastpass and a ride; then back to RNR then back to TOT. We got another set of fastpasses for TOT but after riding each of these 3x DH has had enough and wants to just walk around the park. We give our fastpasses to a mom & son combo we pass on Hollywood Blvd. We visit the pin station under the hat and stroll through many of the shops. We leave the park around 11:30 am and WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWthe lines at the ticket booths stretched to the TRAM LINES!!!! ALL OF THEM!!!! I have NEVER in ten years seen the lines this long at the park. Were sooooooooo glad we are LEAVING this park.
We head over to EPCOT and proceed to Test Track. We have decided we want to devote today to World Showcase but have to do Test Track. After Test Track we head to World Showcase and just do a relaxing tour of the world. We had lunch in Germany outside the Biergarten. I bought my DH a drum in Morocco. We (ok I) had chocolate mousse in France (YUMMY!!). We listened to the British Invasion. And just enjoyed soaking up the atmosphere. DH got a yard of beer and we shared that. We hung around EPCOT until about 6:00pm and then headed back to our hotel. We decided to have dinner at the Golden Corral. TONS of people crowding the buffet. Now I remember why I like sit down restaurants where they wait on you. After dinner, DH went swimming again and I just lounged around and read a book. Do we set the alarm tonightyou bet. Tomorrow is IOA and the Hard Rock Hotel.
