So my wife and I headed over to Disney Springs this evening to give the new Blaze Pizza a try and here is our experience and pictures.

First off, this is probably the best deal in all of Disney Springs as far as value to what you receive is concerned. We shared a build your own pizza and a fountain drink and the total was $12.12. Yes, they do an AP discount (10%) and that was around $1.27 or so off the original total.

We did as I said, the build your own with a half/half to share. We got this pizza:

Traditional Red Sauce
Mozzarella Cheese
Double Mushrooms (wife's favourite)
Pepperoni
Italian Sausage
Ham
Bacon
Black Olives

They do not charge you any extra for double or [insert number here] of toppings. The build your own pizza is $9.99 and you get whatever and however much you want as far as toppings go.

And our pizza ready to eat!

All and all this was an enjoyable trip and meal at Blaze Pizza. The weather was awesome this evening after some rain storms rolled through earlier this afternoon so we elected to eat out side and it was great.

While this was not THE greatest pizza I have ever eaten, it was very good. We will be back soon to try our hand at some other toppings!

We recently had a Blaze Pizza open here in my town. I'd say keep in mind that it is 'medium fast food' pizza. What I mean by that is it is marginally better than Domino's/Pizza Hut, but it's not as good as a true gourmet pizza place. We have a Mellow Mushroom that offers far better pizza, but it is about 3 times more expensive as well.

How much seating do they have outside and is any of it covered? Any kind of a view of the springs or anything? TIA for your answers.

We just had Blaze at Disney Springs last weekend and I have to admit I was underwhelmed myself. We have one here in Jacksonville and it was much better. That said, I heard that Saturday was only their second day so hopefully they get their act together. I do love the "build your own" concept and have had great luck at similar pizza chains doing the same thing.

Thanks for the great review. Once you have built your own, how long does it take for you to get it>

They have a decent amount of seating outside. It is covered though doesn't offer great views unfortunately. The deck area at the back of the restaurant sits over some water of the Springs. However, at night there is not much of a view. The restaurant sits right after a bridge that is behind STK and over next to D Lux Burger.

It took I'd say about five minutes, maybe less to get the pizza after it was made in front of us. Not long at all and it was pretty busy that evening as well. We were in line for a solid 15-20 minutes before we were able to build the pizza.

For anyone that's had both, how does Blaze Pizza compare to Pie Five Pizza? I believe they are the same concept of fast food style individual pizzas.

I will go the other way.

It is VASTLY superior to Domino's, Pizza Hut, et al and marginally not as good as your local specialty place, which would NOT be Mellow Mushroom, which is a national chain. Mellow Mushroom isn't what I'd call "a true gourmet" pizza place.

Blaze Pizza is good as and nearly identical to Pizza Press, 800 Degrees, Pieology, Project Pie, MOD Pizza, PizzaRev, Pie Five and the rest.
