Quick tequest for advice

I'm being considered for a PT travel agent position (work at home). I was supposed to call yesterday at my easiest convenience for an interview. I called the minute I got off work but the person was on another call. I left my contact info. A few hours later I tried again and got voicemail so I left a message. I followed up with an email asking if there was a better time for me to call tonight. No answer yet. Should I try calling at lunch or is that too pushy?

I think you need to just take a step back and wait for them to call you. I know it's hard and you really want the interview/job but you may come off as a nuisance. In my opinion, you have done everything on your end and now you're in the tough position of being patient. Good luck!

Thank you. My natural inclination is to wait. I just don't want to look too reactive since this would be a sales job and I need to be proactive to get sales.

So those of you that told me to wait were right. She called today! We set up a specific interview time for next Wednesday. She sounded very nice. The interview sounds like it will be as much about me asking her questions as the other way around.

Congratulations! I will be thinking of you next week. Just remember, you're interviewing them too. You need to be sure this will be a good fit and that they provide the compensation and resources you need to become a success. Good luck!
