Dinner at Garden Grill.
We were really looking forward to this. The bread and butter was great, as was the salad....very fresh tasting! I had a big Blue Moon after a long day of traveling. Our server was great, and character interaction was great!

However, the fish was incredibly fishy tasting. DH said the beef was dry (I didn't try it), but the turkey/mashed was really good...as was the cranberry sauce. The rice that was with the fish was eh...boring.

The dessert was fabulous - an apple crumble.

First time here...probably wouldn't go back.

Breakfast at Boma
DH's favorite (I prefer the dinner). We ate our weight's worth in goat cheese eggs. I also ate about 5 grilled tomatoes. With sambal on both. I also had potatoes, grilled asparagus, fruit, and I think that's about it. All fabulous. DH and the boys ate everything....and loved it all.

Dinner at Sanaa

Never been here...was an adults night out. Kids went to Simba's Cub house.

WOW!!! We had an excellent table right in front of the windows. We had about 5 giraffe come right in front, and those funky birds with the white tufts of hair...right up to the window and they were making a show :) Wildebeests, etc. Great view. Started with the bread service. Naan, onion kulcha (sp), and paneer parantha (sp), with garlic pickle, coconut chutney, and cucumber raita. OMG. This was over and above fabulous. The garlic pickle with the naan...heaven. The other breads were good but too flimsy. The chef is sending me the garlic pickle recipe, actually.

I started with a habanero lime margarita. I had one at the Wave in Jan and it was boring - no zip to it. This one was perfect! I told the server that and he said that they have the best bar tender on property there - he is the bar tender that trains the others.

DH got the "NY Strip. Served with roasted potatoes, peppers, onions, and choice of coriander chutney, cucumber raita, or garlic pickle". He was in heaven. steak so tender, accompaniments perfect. He loved loved loved it!

I got the slow cooked "trio". I had Spicy Durban Shrimp, 5 grain pilaf, and spicy cauliflower, onions, tomatoes, and mint. This was heavenly, as well. It was spicy...DH about choked when I gave him a shrimp. But it was all tasty, cooked well, and I loved it!

Dessert - we were FULL but I wanted to try the chai creme...so that is what I got. It was very good! Dh had the orange sesame cake with strawberry-ginger kulfi. We both loved it. It tasted just like a strawberry shortcake.

This meal was divine! Tied for best of the week. Will definitely be back!

Dinner at Biergarten

I had a bad experience here back in Jan. We actually were supposed to be at Kouzzina tonight, but DH wanted Epcot. Snagged a 515 here. This experience was so much better! Since we were eating earlier, there was virtually no massive line at the buffet...and they had 2 sides open (which they did not in Jan). The salads were really really good - DH and I ate a ton of the tomato salad. I love the potato dumplings and the spaetzel, too. I rarely eat meat, so I stuck to the salads and sides. Good kraut, great desserts. The band played a great set...love how include the diners in their fun!

Only bad - the servers. Our was good - really quick to clear away, refill, etc. However, since they were slow, they all congregated near us to talk. And some of the "illusion" was gone....they were talking about their day to day lives. Just eh....the kind of chatter you would hear at Chili's ;) Since it was so dead, too, we had the table to ourselves! BONUS!

Dinner at Kona

We were supposed to be at 50's Prime Time tonight, but we weren't feeling it, so concierge scored me a ressie at Kona. We have had lunch there once, and I was looking forward to this! Started with an Island Sunset (YUM!) and DH and I shared a crab cake roll (double yum!). Then I had the sustainable fish (Cobia) that came with black rice and swiss chard. It also had a cucumber/cashew relish on top. That was the only thing I didn't care for - the relish. The cucumbers tasted a little off.

But oh my goodness - my dish was perfection! Fish cooked perfect, rice was flavorful and had the right amount of chew to it, and the swiss chard was great, too. Huge portion, too. Barely had room for my chocolate fondue! Somehow I managed!! ;) I think they bring bread here, too. I think I remember it being good!

DH had the teriyaki steak. He loved it! He had the chocolate banana creme brulee for dessert and was in heaven!

This is the meal that tied with Sanaa. We will be back!

Dinner at Ohana

Kids were begging for another kids club night, so we got online, looked to see what restaurants had availability...snagged an Ohana at 630!! So got them into the Neverland Club and away we went! I am not a big meat eater...texture issues. But DH is and loves this place. We had the most amazing server - Kahdees was his name (probably butchered the spelling). He was so so so so so good. I am actually writing a letter to WDW to rave about him.

We had the best table - next to the window, and dead on to the castle. I loved it. I got to watch the sunset and then the castle light up. Amazing!

I loved the noodles they serve, and I had a few potstickers, too. YUM! Ate quite a bit of shrimp, and even tried the chicken - very good! All the meat was cooked nicely...not over or under.

We were super full by dessert but we each took a bite and it was good! I had another habenero lime margarita here and while better than the Wave...worse than Sanaa!

Lunch at Coral Reef

Another late to the game addition. Never been here. The seating we had was MESSED up. We were at the very first table as you walk in, to your right. It's a huge booth, with 2 tables. And there was a family at the table on the right, they put us on the left. And so 4 of us (and none of us are petite) were shoved into this horseshoe shaped booth...with a rectangle table. No elbow room, etc. Couldn't see even a bit of the aquarium. I hated it. very uncomfortable to be 6 inches from another family...all staring at each other as you eat.

I had the mahi mahi. It was really good! Cooked perfectly, nice sides. DH had the lobster ravioli and he was a bit disappointed. Really thin sauce. Dessert I had key lime mousse with roasted pineapple, mango glaze, and chocolate pearls. i wanted something lighter after how I ate all week. This was perfect! I loved it!

DH had the cheesecake Napoleon and loved it!

Food - 4 out of 5....but for seating...I am knocking it down to 2 out of 5. it was that bad..

And that's it!! The boys had the standard fare at the restaurants. Burger and salad, or soup and salad, etc. I think they only ordered fries once or twice. The fries at coral reef were REALLY good.
