I am looking for a light weight stroller and in my searches have come across the Silver Cross Micro collection. It is basically the same as the Maclaren Triumph except that it does not recline. But it weighs only 9.2 lbs. If anyone has any knowledge about these strollers let me know what you think. Thank you :D

Hi
there is actually someone on the boards who likes this stroller alot and lovesdumbo just ordered one. (Look at the "perfect disney stroller" thread) I don't know how to put the thread here. Anyway. The only thing I know is that the maclaren will go up to 55 pounds and the silver cross says 40. How much this really means it will hold if you tried I don't know.

Thank you very much I will look for that thread!:D

Hi! I have lots of info on the Silver Cross Micro. It is a new line that Silver Cross just put out (great brand of strollers!) . Any way, these are VERY similar to Maclarens. I would compare the Micro to the Mac. Volo, except the Silver Cross has more padding, better basket and comes with the hood already. It also has bigger wheels that makes it a much better ride if you have a bigger child. (I wouldn't put too much thought into the weight limits) Lots of my "internet friends" have them already also and love them. I have a 3 year old and just love it. I also have a Mac. Quest that I am thinking about selling because I love the Micro so much!
Hope this helps a little!
Jill

Thank you! It looks like a great stroller. The only thing that I did not like is that is does not recline. I am still up in the air about it. I am looking at the silver cross, the maclaren triumph (which is very similiar to the silver cross micro) and now my SIL e-mailed me a link to the combi savvy soho. I dont know!!!!! My DH just wants to bring our jogger! I told him no way I do not feel like lugging that big thing on and off buses!! I have to say the one thing I like about the combi stroller is that it has the accoustic hood! Our jogger has an accoustic hood also we just plug in the cd player and play our ds's fav cd's. But I have read here and there about people kicking the wheel's while walking. I love the idea of a carrying strap which they all have. So I have it at these three! choices, choices!!!

I checked out the Combi in person and the seat was very narrow. I would try it out with your child before you buy it.

Not me....I just bought the Peg Perego Pliko and LOVE it. I also have a Maclaren and love it but my DD -18 months does not. I think the Maclaren is the perfect stroller for an older child but the Pliko is perfect for my DD. It allows her to sit straight up, has a snack tray, fully reclines, has a huge canopy, is still relatively light weight, stands when folder and has a carry handle.

Here's the thread where someone talks about the Micro. stroller thread

I am sorry lovesdumbo. I had a brain fart on that one. It was
