I am planning my trip to Disney in June. Were only going for 3 nights so its going to be a quick trip. There will be 2 15yr olds with us. I was planing on getting reservations for Breakfast at Bomas (AKL) and doing AK for 3 or 4 hrs in the morning. I was wondering what are some "Must See's" at AK? When is the best time to go on these rides?

Thanks Alot

Three or four hours is pretty aggressive--you'r going to have to run!

The don't miss attractions:

1. Killimanjaro Safari (the earlier the better--there seem to be more animals out earlier in the morning

2. Dinosaur (Fast Pass)

3. Kali River Rapids (later in the day, cause you'll get wet)

4. Festival of the Lion King (this is a show, but its arguably the BEST show in WDW) Check the park schedule for showtimes

5. Its a Bugs Life (3D Movie in the Tree of Life)

Those are the main attractions in the park, but the beauty of AK is really not in the attractions. It is a great park in which to wander around--the pathways are beautifully themed.

Good luck (we'll be there in April with two 16 year olds!)

Hi!

I'm off on a three day trip soon as well, and I only plan to spend a half day at AK. It is a beautiful park but I like the others better. I did a half day a few years ago over a spring break, and that is all you need. The rides we did (in order) are:

1. Safari (or get a FP and go back)
2. Kali Rapids
3. Dinosaur
4. Tough to be a Bug (FP maybe)
5. Lion King

That was about it! The park is giant, so it is a lot of walking, but you can really see as much or as little as you want. We had fun walking around the Jungle areas to see the animals, but it is up to you. The Primeval Whirl is something that I haven't been on yet, but it sounds interesting too.

The big things to remember at AK: Make sure to ARRIVE BEFORE OPENING! We were there for the rope drop, and it cut a good hour off of our wait times. We even rode on Dinosaur twice in a row with now wait! Everyone RUNS to the Safari, so you can always get a FP and go do the other rides in the meantime.
Also, DEFINITELY bring a poncho/garbage bag at Kali. You will get wet!

Hope that helps!

I think the 2 must-sees are Lion King and Kilamanjaro Safari. Do Kali River Rapids last thing!
