Quick split stay question

Hi everyone, I have a quick question.

I am headed to Pop from 9/26-9/30 with my wife and her family. My wife and I extended our trip to 10/2 (still at Pop) so that we would have two extra days of WDW by ourselves.

I was thinking about switching our resort to the Contemporary for our last two days. However, I read somewhere that if you do a split stay, it will screw up your park tickets. Right now we have 7 day park hopper tickets...I don't want to switch resorts and then pay for a 5 day hopper and then a two day hopper. Does anyone know if/how switching resorts mid-stay affects park tickets?

I assume you are on a package. Do you have dining? If so, then you have to have at least one-day tickets on each reservation. If you don't have dining. You could book your pop stay for 4 nights with 7 day tickets and then make a room only reservation at the contemporary for the rest.

If you have dining, there's really no way around getting the 1 day tickets on the second reservation and you'll wind up paying more for your tickets.

We have dining, but only for 9/26-9/30 (the days we are with the whole family). So for the last two nights, we won't have dining. So can I make a room only reservation if our dining plan is finished by then?

Yes you can - just buy your park tickets for your whole stay...
