Quick Service Exchange for Snacks Question

I have three days left at POP with family member and have 32 QS Meals and 7 Snacks left.

I went to try and exchange some of my QS meals for snacks at the front desk and was told that if I did that with her I would only be getting 1 Snack for every QS meal she took off. She said I need to go to the gift shops and when I buy snacks tell them to charge it to my QS account.

I thought you could exchange 1 QS meal for 3 Snack credits at your resort? I've also heard someone people say you only can change 1 QS meal to 2 snacks.

My wife called the front desk and they told her they were not allowed to trade them anywhere.

Any suggestion would help, I don't want to get stuck with 20 meals when we leave in a few days.

I was at Pop two weeks ago. I was able to exchange 1 QS credit for 3 snacks both inside the Everything Pop store (wall next to register has candy, snacks, etc.) as well as the food court.

The confusion lies in how you're going about it. The front desk cannot magically change your QS credits into snack credits that can then be used wherever you wish. However, if you go to the QS restaurant or the gift shop, you should be able to gather 3 snack credit eligible items and use a QS credit to purchase them. Be sure to ask the CM at the register before you gather your items; they will probably help you with what you can get.

You may also be able to do this in some of the gift shops/candy stores in the parks, but again...ASK before you gather your items.

Food cart probably won't do it because they don't have QS credits to begin with. You can ask, but be prepared for a no. QS dining locations in the parks MIGHT do it, but there have been very few reports of being able to do this this year. This has NEVER been an official use of QS credits. The most consistent success has been at the resorts.

Whatever you got last year at AoA was not normal and should be considered a significant gift of pixie dust.

It isn't a hassle, it is the protocol.

If you were able to change the QS credits to snack credits at the front desk or concierge you were given a lot of pixie dust because that very rarely happens and is not the usual method. If you were able to exchange the QS credits at the food court or AoA gift shop that would be the standard procedure.

Regardless, since you cannot exchange them at Pop's front desk you will have to do it at a CS food venue or a gift shop. If a food venue does not take CS credits (e.g. an ice cream cart in the park) they will not be able to take the CS credit. Likewise, many of the stores in the parks don't take CS credits either. For gift shops your best luck will be at the stores at a resort that sell food as well as merchandise.

At this point you probably have to accept that you won't get the value of the CS credit when you use it for snacks, but it's better to get something. There are options besides candy. Maybe check the Grab and Go section at Pop - bottled beverages, fruit, pastries, cereal, chips, meals for your flight/drive home. Whichever places you choose ask the cashier first if they will take CS credits for snacks and ask how many because it has varied between two or three snacks per CS credit.

We eat more off the food carts then other places. It's all good though we used alot of 4 meals today on places where we could get 3 credits.

We had no trouble exchanging QS credits for 3 snacks at snack carts throughout the parks.
