Just wondering how many people have done the quick service dinning? We have the regular dinning plan, but have been offered the QSDP for free.. I was thinking about just booking 2 table services and just pay for them.. Thoughts?

Also, we want to do one of the water parks, think it would be cheaper to just pay for them, or put the water park and more on the pass?

Thanks.. Sarah

We've only had the reg DDP to this point but DH and I had a conversation about this subjectthe other day because we are hoping for fall free dining. Initially he said he would want the same plan we had before but then re-though and decided he didn't care and would be happiest with whatever was free:rotfl:

As far as the waterparks go they are a ton of fun. A single days admission is about $40 but you can add the option to your park passes for $52. Personally, I would add the option to my park passes and go at least one extra day. We really love the waterparks and have often spent more days there than in the theme parks. It actually can be relaxing.

We knew that we were only going to have one day to spend at the waterparks and waited to purchase until the day of in case the weather wasn't suitable. I just went to the front desk and had it added to our cards. The waterpark was one of the children's favorite things. Super day. Just remember to find out the hrs. as they can be shorter then many of the parks, depending on the year.

I can't help you with the QSDP, have only done the DDP.

Have a great trip.

In other posts, I've read that you can upgrade your free counter service to the regular dining plan for about $10 per person per day. This might be a cheaper option than paying for 2 table service meals OOP.:)

I have done the regular dining plan 3 times and the Quick service 1 time.

I would easily take the free QSP over the paid for DDP.

here's the the negatives ... you have to work a little harder to get the counter services that fit your tastes. For example, I love BOMA ... lots of choices for me, but the kids also get to choose. But with QSP there is no buffet style access ... so you need to look for places that offer what you want. This can be a real challenge for kids! I found wolfgang puck express to be very good ... half chicken dinner, with drink, desert was an excellent meal. Went twice to DTD just for this meal!

Another Neg ... you don't get the experience of character dining or seeing neat restaurants. But for me ... I've seen all the places that I care to see ...

Positives:
Saves Money!
More drinks than you need.
4 people get 8 snacks a day ... we had to use ours for goofy candy and the end of the trip ... we had lots of them.
You still get enough to eat ... I gained 8lbs in 2 weeks.

With QSP you get the refillable mug, 2 counter service meals per day, 2 snacks per day.

The answer to this all rests with how important your dining experience is to you and if the extra you pay for the DDP is worth this experience.

I got the QS pin and booked with an upgrade to reg DP...for the four of us 7 nights I think it cost an extra $160 ish? Definitely worth the upgrade imo...

I've done the QSDP a couple of times now. I enjoy the flexibility it allows. It was nice to decide which park to go to that morning. There are a lot of different options availible plus I love snack credits:thumbsup2.

we got the quick dining pin it was $10 a day to upgrade the adults and $2 for the kids
it still saved us money over the 35% off we had on our plan first even after we paid the upgrade for the plan
