Quick service at AKL??

I am just full of questions -- sorry!

Are there any decent quick service restaurants at AKL? I have never been there and am thinking of heading there after AK closes for the day to take a look around. We'll be using our table service during the day so we'd just want a quick service option!

Mara is the quick service place at AKL. We've eaten there several times and have found the food good. Be sure to get a zebra dome from the dessert selections!

Only one--The Mara. We really like the Mara. The kids like it because it has chicken strips and you can watch cartoons on TV while eating. I've tried quite a few things off their menu and everything was good.

We ate at the Mara Oct 3 and it was really good. DH got a chicken caesar salad and said it was one of the best he's had and that the carrot cake had actual carrot instead of coconut. I got the chicken pita and it was so good I can't wait to get another in December. We got to try the butternut squash and lentil and sausage soups. The butternut squash was sweet and had cinnamon in it. I brought it home and dipped animal crackers in it for dessert. The sausage and lentil was so good DH ate it all and never let me try it. You really need to try the zebra domes. They are so good I had family members request us to bring them some. Good thing we bring a cooler with us. It's a really nice food court area. Much bigger than WL which is nice.

We ate at Restaurantasaurus, had double cheeseburgers. They were very good. Almost too much to eat, I didn't finish my fries or my dessert. Can't remember if they had a fixin's bar but I think they did.

The Mara is our favourite quick service restaurant!

They have a lot of selection, and we tried most of it. The flatbread pizzas are very good, and we also enjoyed the pita chips with the different kinds of hummus. The couscous was also delicious! Breakfasts are also very hot and fresh.

We've eaten at all of the quick serve restaurants at the deluxe resorts, and the Mara is by far our fav!! Enjoy!

The African Stew was also delicious; it's served in a bread bowl. Quite a good sized portion. The flatbreads were too big for me to eat; I brought half back to the room and had it for breakfast!

It's only Mara and it's pretty good even though young kids might be picky with the African themed foods.

The soups were delicious but I heard they get them from Boma (not sure though).

The Mara has good selections for dinner if you want to use a CS credit.. I liked the Stew and the fried shrimp platter.........Nice choices.

Was there on the 3rd to the 9th and stayed at Kidani and had breakfast at Mara 3 or 4 times. There is a great portion of eggs red potatoes and onion and sausage or bacon(they have the large link sausage like they used to have at Crystal Palace) and a biscuit. that is the breakfast platter. they have another platter that has all that but includes a small Mickey head waffle and both bacon and sausage. You can ask for double of either instead of both. The price of the regular platter is quite reasonable less than $7.00.

Mara is probably one of the best resort food courts we've been to. They change the soup each day, and they are indeed from Boma, the African stew is delicious and the flat breads are yummy. Great fruit selection and zebra domes as a snack credit! Does life get better?!?
