Quick service as snacks at food & wine

Are there restrictions to converting your quick service credits to snacks at the food & wine booths? I know 1 QS=3 snacks in one transaction.

From what we understand, F&W booths will not be exchanging the QS for 3 snacks, but it hasn't started yet, so we don't know for sure. Just remember, you would have to get 3 from the same country, and some only have one offering. My suggestion is, it never hurts to ask.

However, the F&W offerings are THE best value for a snack credit in all of WDW, so if it is allowed, you're trading down, IMHO.

FWIW, I just made a resort reservation during F&W and the CM told me you will be able to use Quick service credits at the booths. Not a bad deal if true!

I was also told by a CM that we will be allowed to use a QS credit for 3 snack-credit-eligible items at any location that accepts snack credits including F&W booths. Whether the CMs working the booths will also say this is the policy and know how to put the transaction into their system remains to be seen. The definite restriction if allowed is that the items must be purchased in one transaction, so for sure no using 1 QS credit to sample items from different booths.

Well, you'll definitely need to plan out these if you decide to do it, and if you can do the exchange. Looking at the 2014 menus, there were 3 or 4 places where 3 snacks added together would be close to the $18 "value" of the QS meal, but most of them are in the $4-5 range, and would fall short of that break even point.

There's a thread over on the regular restaurant board with several posters saying they tried, but no go. Speculation is that either the registers are not set up to do it or it's just not going to be allowed.

I was just alerted on another thread that the F&W Super thread had a report of being able to do it. It was only one person, but they said all they did was choose their 3 snacks, present their MB, and asked them to use a QS credit. They did NOT ask to exchange; they just asked them to use the QS credit, and it worked. Now they did say, it worked better if you just did the 3 snacks in one transaction without anything else. If they tried to add a drink or another snack, it wouldn't work. So if you want a drink with your meal, and it's not one of your 3 snacks, do it separately.

I asked at check in at Art of Animation, and without question had four counter service credits converted to 12 snack credits.
