Can anyone provide a list of places that don't have "typical" theme park fare (for example, Caseys hot dogs, Pecos Bill's fixin' bar, Yak and Yeti chinese type snacks ). We are trying to avoid chicken strips and burgers, etc.

This is the most wonderful website, and the information is so helpful and abundant! ANYthing that you can provide would be terrific. Thank you!

At Epcot we really enjoyed Sunshine Seasons for Quick Service meals. I had a salad with seared tuna there were a lot of other choices that were NOT chicken fingers and burgers. :)

At Magic Kingdom, we ate at Pecos Bills, I had a wrap that was pretty good.

You can look at the different menus here:

Here are a few to get you started. The menus can be found at www.allearsnet.com

Animal Kingdom:
  • Flame Tree Barbecue - barbecued chicken and ribs, salads
  • Pizzafari - pizza, Italian sandwiches, salads
EPCOT:
  • Sunshine Seasons - roasted chicken, Asian entrees, salads
  • Tangerine Cafe - Moroccan platters and sandwiches
  • Yakitori House - sushi, teriyaki beef and chicken
Magic Kingdom:
  • Cosmic Rays - Roasted chicken, barbecue ribs, salads
  • Columbia Harbour House - fried shrimp and fish, clam chowder, tuna sandwiches

I see that PP have mentioned Comic Ray's in Tomorrowland, that meal was wonderful. I would highly recommend the ribs and chicken.
Also Sunshine Seasons, they have an italian sandwich that is very good and some asian dishes.
And I do believe that in Epcot the England section has a CS that has fish and chips. I haven't had it, but that is different.
Also in France, a ham and cheese crosiant that I hear is very very good.

I forgot one at MK. Pecos Bills, while they have burgers they also have a taco salad. We haven't tried it yet, but DH loves taco salad so it is on our to do list this time around.

Another vote for Sunshine Seasons....we love the smoked turkey/munster/chipolte sauce on focaccia bread - delish!

We had great made to order sandwiches last week at the counter serve restaurant in the Wilderness Lodge. Excellent..tuna salad..roast beef w/roquefort, Turkey w/Havarti etc on mulitgrain breads or ciabatta with a side of a Pasta salad w/vinagrette. Really yummi.
