Well, we are back from our 10 night Deluxe DP trip. It was good. I will post a more detailed report later, but in summary:

Worst Meal: Le Cellier. Terrible. I was so disappointed because of the hype. The breadsticks were OK, nothing to rave about. The soup was terrible and I told DH to get it because of all the great reviews. He hated it. I didn't like it either. DD would not touch it. I had the mussels. Not good either. DH had the filet. He said it was OK. I had the NY Strip. Again, just OK. Cannot remember what DD13 had but whatever it was she didn't like it. Desserts were OK. We would not go back here. It just was not good.

Best Meal; Narcosse's or Coral Reef or maybe even Cap'n Jacks. They were all very good. Very good service. From appetizers to Desserts we loved all three of these places.

I will post more later. We did like the deluxe plan. We used all our credits. Was it too much food? Probably. Did we feel like we were eating all the time? No, not at all. We did later breakfast character meals and then a TS dinner on most days. Some early lunches than TS dinner on other days. It is a nice plan. We probably did not save a lot of money doing it, but I don't think we lost money doing it. Would we do it again? Probably on a shorter trip.

So surprised to hear about Le Cellier, but I am so interested to hear about Narcosse's.:goodvibes

I was thinking aout the deluxe plan for the signature restaurants, but I am never going to get the ressies I want, so maybe next year!!

Narcosse's was very good. We had the lobster and steak and my DD13 had the whole lobster. The appetizers were wonderful. Their seafood bisque was wonderful as were the crabcakes. Desserts were good. It was just a very nice experience.

Le Cellier, we still laugh about as being the worst meal. My family teases me about picking it because I heard how good it was and what a letdown. I even threatened my DD13 to have to go back and eat there if she was naughty :rotfl: She became real good after hearing that because she never wants to go back.

Our family LOVED Le Cellier. Cheese soup second only to a local spot here. Mom loved her filet (and this from Nebraska beef girls), and said my salmon was second only to salmon she had in Alaska! DH had the new appetizer...chicken sausage & polenta & it was OUTSTANDING. Desserts average, as most places.

Mom & I really liked Narcoossees. Unfortunately I ordered the scallops & risotto (instead of the lobster) since that risotto was so yummy at Le Cellier! UNFORTUNATELY it was underdone, very chewy, not smooth. And the scallops were fine...I suppose I should have sent it back...The almond crusted cheesecake was one of the few terrific desserts we had!

Too bad Narcoosees wasn't so good for you. Kona was kinda so so for us (after reading good reviews here). I think it was because it was our only late meal, and it felt like that food just SAT in my tummy!

Deluxe would be SO fun to try!

Le Cellier was terrible for us. Narcosses was very good. We loved it. The cheese soup at Le Cellier was inedible in my opinion. Very peppery and just not good. The bisque at Narcosses far beat that in taste for sure. As far as the steaks at both places, hands down Narcosses was better.
