It seems like there's always a lot of people looking fo updated reviews of Vistana Villages, so I thought I'd post. We had a four-night package that included a mandatory tour. the property was very clean, new and nice. We had a nice, big two-bedroom in the Keys section, we liked it very much. the kids spent a day enjoying what the resort had to offer -- pools, volleyball courts, shuffleball, game room. Service wasn't quite up to Disney standards in our opinion, but it was still good enough for a few days' stay. There's construction going on, but in the Keys section, it was very quiet.
Our tour was fine, low-pressure and they respected the 90-minute limit. They actually made some kind of mistake with us and we waited about 20 minutes for it to start, but the guide never kept us over the time limit, which we appreciated. Very professional.
I'd stay again.

Hi, thanks for the info. My family is going to VV 67-6/14, and we have never stayed here before. What can you tell me about the pool(s?) Are they kid friendly, and do they still do kid activities during the day. Also, did you eat at the resort? Any more info. you have would be great.:thumbsup2 Also, do you recommend any section over another? Thanks!

We only had a breakfast at the resort resort restaurant, it was fine, but eat inside, the birds are kamikazes! There were plenty of places to eat in the area as well, although we only got pizza in one night. We like the Keys section, it was steps from the quiet pool, which was very nice and uncrowded and had an activities building with arcade games, pooltable, etc. It wasn't near the main pool and the resort restaurant, though, so if you want that you should try to request it.
The main pool was very nice, it has a kiddie area, but it got crowded. I don't recall seeing any activities going on, but there may have been.
ask away if you have any more questions, and have a great trip!

I have a few questions:

Is it an easy drive to the parks?
How long does it take to get from resort to parking? (this is my main concern)
Does it have a restaurant?

thanks:)

We're staying at the Vistana Villages at the end of August with two kids (1 and 4). Just wondered if the kiddie pool would be okay for them. (Both love the water. Is the quiet pool only for adults? We'll have a rental car to drive to the parks. Is it possible to spend half the day at the park, come back for nap and return for the evening?

Thanks so much in advance!

The kiddie pool is great. My kids played in it and they are 5 and 7. It connects to the big pool and there is a sprinkler in the middle of it. The kids activities were really good. We loved the VV and would go back anytime. We had fantastic customer service. Both of my kids came down with the stomach flu when we were there and they took really good care of us.

Distances to attractions

Disney World 11 miles
MGM 4 miles.
Epcot 11 miles
Universal 7 miles
Seaworld 4 miles.

It was a really easy drive to all attractions. There is a restaurant there. It is a deli. The food items were limited to pub type fare. I liked that this resort was tucked away from the really busy areas. We ate at an offsite restaurant called Bahama Breeze one night and loved it. It took 5 minutes to get to Seaworld. I have stayed really close to WDW property before and being a bit farther away did not change our trip at all.

Thanks for all the information. I'm so excited, only 25 days to go.:cool1: I'm looking forward to doing the parks and then cooling off in the beautiful pool.
