I thought I would post a quick review of some rides we went on for the first time this trip. We were at WDW last week and had a great time!

Soarin. I made my mind up that this trip I would try Soarin, even though I hate flying. We all went on, including me, DH, DS 7 and DS 4. My 7 year old loves thrill rides, but my 4 year old is a little more fearful. I asked to be in the back row which was no problem. The cast member told me that the back row is 30 feet up, the middle row is 40 feet up, and the front row is 50 feet up. I must admit I was nervous when we were buckling in, but when you are lifted up you don't feel like you are 30 feet in the air. Once up I tried to relax and enjoy the movie. The seat tilts forward and backwards to give the full effect of flying. I didn't love this feeling, but then again I don't like to fly. It was not scary and I am glad I did it. My DH said that the back row is much less realistic than the front row. My 4 year old enjoyed the ride although he didn't like the end when there is a loud noise (I don't want to spoil for those who have not ridden). I would defnitely go on again, and so would my 4 year old.

Expedition Everest. I did not go on, as my 4 year old did not meet the height requirements. My DH took my 7 year old. Both loved this ride. It is my 7 year old's new favorite ride. My DH has a queasy stomach and gets sick on Thunder Mountain but did not get sick on this one. He said the last drop does not feel as intense as it looks.

It's Tough to be a Bug. This was our first time seeing this 3-D movie. After my 4 year old loved Soarin and Test Track I was sure this would be a breeze. He screamed at the top of his lungs the entire time, he was absolutely terrified. I am not sure what scared him so much, since I didn't think it was scary, I thought it was funny. There were lots of screaming kids, so beware. It is a great movie, just keep in mind that for some reason it terrifies some preschoolers.

I have to say we really enjoyed Animal Kingdom this trip. I love the theming and atmosphere and it was perfect weather. The safari ride was spectacular this time, we had great views of the animals.

Living with the Land. We all enjoyed this. It was relaxing and educational.

Lights, Motors, Action. We all enjoyed this as well. Great car stunts, my boys were enthralled. It was like their toy cars came to life.

These were some of the attractions we tried for the first time on this trip. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Thanks for the report. I like flying but was surprised that I got that feeling of my stomach dropping when we were "in-flight." I still love this ride.
E:E is on our to-do list for our trip at the end of the month. I love, love, love BTMRR and hoping I do not chicken out on this at the last minute. It is just so huge when you are standing at the bottom of the mountain! How were the lines there?
It's Tough to be a Bug....I always laugh at this. It's more intense than a lot of parents think and they take their really young ones. Some are okay but everytime we've gone there are more kids screaming than not! We didn't even try to take ours until they were 6 & 7 and even then there were parts that there were a little tense with!
The entire family enjoys the Lights, Motors, Action show. During the last trip we didn't get to see it because the crowds were ridiculous and we just went back to the resort.
Welcome home!

On our first day at Animal Kingdom we were not able to get on Expedition Everest. The standby line was about 90 minutes and the Fastpasses were gone for the day. This was at about noon. So, we decided to come back another day for EMH evening hours at Animal Kingdom. EMH was from 6 pm to 9pm and we got to EE around 6:30 pm. The standby line was only about 20 minutes long at that time.

So, my advice to you is either get a FP early in the day for EE or go to EMH hours and ride.

Thanks for the info. We always get there when the park opens and head to the Safari but instead we'll head straight to E:E. :sunny:

If you can, use the single rider line for EE. My wait was so short I swear I was on the ride longer than I was in line.

:) Thanks for the reviews. I am not crazy for heights but have agreed to try Soarin'. I'm glad it wasn't too bad.
