Car service pick up

I’ve just been reading about the construction at MCO and possible delays and to plan extra time
We have a120pm flight leaving MCO
We do have a car service pick up which will pick us up at the poly at 1050am so basically 2.5 hrs before flight
Does this sound like good times.

I've done the exact same thing before.

We call for pick up about 3-3 1/2 hours ahead. Uber takes less than 15 minutes to get to the hotel. But because I need wheelchair assistance, we make sure we have plenty of time.

We used the Disney bus from the Grand Floridian. You gave them our flight time and THEY told us our pickup time. It was 4 hours before flight time. Gave you an hour to get there, and a lot of travel sites recommend being at MCO 3 hours before flight time. My only other time through MCO was after a Disney cruise, and we got to MCO at 9:15 am, checked our bags, had our boarding pass and were in the security line by 930 am. We barely made a 12:35 pm flight as security at MCO is notoriously slow. We literally walked right on our plane as it was boarding by the time we got to the gate. So much for the plan to have a leisurely lunch at the airport before our flight home.

What airline are you on? Construction is only happening for terminal A & B. The biggest impact is gonna be the trams being replaced in terminal B, so only 1 tram will be running at a time. What I read the project only got started about 6 weeks ago. Do we even know if the trams are disrupted yet or still running normally?

The Orlando Airport website lists the security wait times, so you can track that for a bit. If you’re not comfortable with the timeline, just call your car service & ask for an earlier pick up. It shouldn’t be a problem.
