DH, DD and I just returned this morning from a quick three-night stay at the Hilton at Downtown Disney. We used Hilton Honors points to book this reservation about three weeks before the trip.

This was our first off-site hotel stay in many years (we are DVC members and on-site advocates).

PROS: Proximity to Downtown Disney, access to Extra Magic Hours and for us cost (this was a free stay for us), $9.95 for 24-hour unlimited high speed Internet access per 24-hour period.

CONS: This is definitely a business person's hotel ... there is no Disney magic. One of the two pools was closed so it was jammed packed (reminded me of Storm Along Bay during the heat of July with not a lounge chair in sight). The rooms are very noisy ... we could hear our neighbor's next door ... on both sides ... as well as folks in the hallway. The A/C is old and noisy ... it cooled the room well enough but it was loud. The $4 per day charge for use of the room safe is highway robbery!!

All in all we had a great time ... we hardly spent anytime at the hotel. And we got what we paid for;)
