Just thought I would do a quick review since I enjoy so many of the reviews on here. I didn't take pictures of food but I do have a few "people" shots with characters that I will try to add on.

Party: DH, DW(me...I turned 40 on this trip:scared1: ), DS (10), DS (7)
DS (10) and I ended up spliting a few meals. He's not really a big guy and certainly couldn't eat an appetizer, main course, and a dessert...although he tried.

TS
WCC dinner
'Ohana dinner
CP breakfast
Coral Reef dinner/CP package
SciFi lunch
Prime Time Dinner
LTT Dinner
CM Christmas brunch

CS
Sunshine Seasons
Tangerine Cafe
Restaurantosaurus
Comic Ray's
Roaring Forks
Wolfgang Puck Express
Casey's Corner

Some snacks that I remember....
Aloha Isle...Pineapple floats
Main Street Confectionary....caramel apple and fudge
Rice Krispy Treats from Goofy's Candy Company
Mickey Bar

DH said LTT was his favorite. DS and I agree on 'Ohana. My next favorite was Sci Fi which was unexpected. The chocolate tart and cheesecake desserts were so yummy. We had a super sweet waitress there. We had such good luck with friendly servers...which was a surpise. Our best server was a lovely lady at LTT!

More to come.....:woohoo:

I'm in. :)

I'm really interested in Coral Reef with the CP package. I'm planning on doing that this November. Would love to hear about your ADR and walk to the CP and any other thoughts,.

Ok..why not start with this day first. We had an early CR dinner with the 6:45 CP package. Our ADR for CR was at 4:00pm. We had about a 10 minute wait. We were seated on the second tier. It was a very nice view. We could see everything just fine. We saw the giant sea turtle swim by several times. For the CP package...which was the same as what the dining plan offered...we had our choice of a beverage including the speciality non-alcoholic beverages, appetizer, entree, and dessert.

DH...Iced Tea, Ceasar Salad, NY Strip, and the Chocolate Wave
He enjoyed his meal. DS tired a cherry from his chocolate wave and almost spit it out...it was a little heavy on the brandy.:rotfl:

DW (me)...Great White (non-alcoholic pina colada), lobster soup, king crab legs, and the key lime tart. I enjoyed everything but the key lime tart...this was not very good to me. Also, just so you will know, I wanted coffee with my dessert and I had to pay cash for it. This was the only place that charged for coffee...you only get one drink choice!

DS (10) Great White, chilled shrimp with seaweed salad, king crab legs, and I think the cheesecake. He loved his meal...especially getting to eat off the adult menu and not having to share! He was a little shocked that part of his shrimp was green. I explained it was from the seaweed salad.:lmao:

DS (7) kids coke, lobster soup, grilled mahi mahi, and a sundae.
I think he ate everything!

Here we are at our lovely table!

We got to the CP around 5:40 and the line was all the way to Japan. I think almost the whole theater was sold to CP packages. Everyone had a sticker. If you want very close seats get there early. This was 12-22. It was amazing! If you want to eat at one of the CP restaurants get the package!

We went to DTD for our morning/lunch before heading over to Epcot. For lunch we had Wolfgang Puck Express. I thougth it was very tasty. We split two pizzas. We ordered the four cheese pizza and the pepperoni pizza. For dessert we had the creme brulee and the chocolate chip brownie. The creme brulee was very good and it was a very large portion. I don't think we ever ate the brownie? The boys went over and made a rice krispy treat at Goofy's Candy Company. They looked good but I didn't try one.

subscribing. I love reading about people's dining experiences, and seeing their restaurant pics. :)

Thanks for the CP information! Did you call the first day you could (I think I heard in July) to get ressies? I am very impressed your DS10 ate crab legs and DS7 mahi-mahi!!

I can't wait to read some more! :)

YourMajesty, thanks so much for the review of Coral Reef!! The food sounds delicious!!
Very good info to know about the CP package. I can't wait to read more!!

ps....You have a very handsome family!!;)

:cool1: I can't wait to hear more!!! wasn't Coral Reef w/the CP package awesome!!! That was our favorite TS meal of our whole trip! What a great looking gang you have there!:woohoo:

Thanks for the nice comments. I'm pretty lucky that my kids will eat and try some of the foods adults usually eat. It's not all my doing...grandma gets them to eat healty grains, nuts, seeds, fruits...etc. It's my sister, however, that fixes them crab legs when they go to visit! They love it. My youngest likes all fish, shrimp, crab, and lobster. I'm somewhere in between...but I get in such a rut when it comes to cooking at home.:rolleyes1

Oh, I didn't call on the first day for the CP package. If you know what day, time, and restaurant you want I would go for it! They hold it with a credit card. We were undecided about going to CP and I'm so glad we did!

Arrival day we caught a boat from WL to MK. We decided on Pirates for the first ride of our trip. You know what the means...yep, as we passed by Aloha Isle we picked up 4 pineapple floats. They were a big hit with everyone but my youngest? And to think...he loves pineapple? Next time we might get him a chocolate/vanilla twist. :thumbsup2

We only stayed a couple of hours because we had a 4:50 ADR for WCC. Just enough time to soak in the pixie dust!pixiedust: Our dinner at WCC was fine but nothing too special.

DH: coke, cheese and sausage plate, roast chicken, and apple-caramel pie. He said his dinner was good. I don't see the cheese and sausage plate on the menu as an appetizer anymore? Also, he said the apple-carmel pie was just ok...so I tasted it and agreed.

DS (10) and me: I split the 12oz smoked prime rib with DS (10). It came with mashed potatoes and broccoli. It was very good. It was plenty for the two of us....especailly since we had the pineapple floats! We chose the western dip as our appetizer. This was very blah to me. The cheese dip had sausage in it but it tasted like cheese out of a can.:scared: DS ordered the s'mores cheesecake for dessert. It was very tasty. Also, he had a coke and I had coffee! They brought me a little chocolate cupcake since it must have been flagged that I was celebrating a birthday.:woohoo:

DS (7) coke, garden salad with ranch, fish of the day with rice and vegies, worms in dirt. Once again he ate most of his food. We were having trouble with the ranch salad dressing because it was so thick. Once I got it kind of spread around on his salad he said it tasted funny. I tasted it and it was horseradish sauce.:scared: We never got it swapped out but he had plenty of food to eat.

Overall, the meal was fine, just not our favorite. My DS (10) didn't want to participate in any of the fun stuff for the kids. I guess he is growing up. He did go out there with his brother (7) who is just a little shy.

Sorry....this isn't the greastest picture of DS....but it's the only pic I took. You can see the cornbread they bring and a little of DH's cheese and meat plate.

We had this early dinner so we could go on a sleigh ride. It was ok too. It was dark and the path we went on was dark. Not a whole lot to see. I have a picture of the sleigh. I don't think we would do another one. Oh...it really wasn't that cold...just a little chilly...we just thought the hats and gloves were neccessary on a sleigh ride.:thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

I'm ready to hear more..:listen::woohoo:

I have enjoyed your reviews and am looking forward to more. I have never gone to Epcot in past trips, but we are planning on it this year. We want to eat at Coral Reef, but I was wondering what CP package it?

Great...you will love Epcot. It has two of the top rides at WDW...in my opinion. Soarin' is amamzing and test tack is pure fun! I'm cutting and pasting a little blurb about the CP packages.

What is the Candlelight Processional?
A Disney tradition now in its 37th year (2007), the Candlelight Processional is a moving presentation of the Christmas story in readings by a celebrity narrator and music by a Mass choir and 50-piece orchestra.

Where and when does it take place?

This event takes place in the America Gardens Theatre in World Showcase in Epcot. It is an outdoor (uncovered, not climate controlled) setting and is not cancelled due to inclement weather. It is recommended you dress accordingly.

It begins November 23 and runs every evening until December 30. Shows are approximately 40 minutes. Each evening there are three shows -- 5:00pm, 6:45pm, 8:15pm

Is there a charge to see the Candlelight Processional?

No, it is included in your admission to Epcot. There is, however, a dinner package available for purchase that includes a ticket to Reserved Seating for the Candlelight Processional.

Seating without the dinner package is on a first come, first serve basis for each show. Folks line up 45 minutes (longer as you are closer to Christmas) before show time. 15 minutes prior to the show, seating is then opened up to those on line. Also, keep in mind if you wait in line for the 2nd or 3rd show of the night, that you will be hearing the show before yours as it is performed.

You can always stroll by the America Gardens Theatre in World Showcase to listen to the music and wonders of Christmas.

If you wish to purchase the dinner package (explained below) with reserved seating, there is a charge.

This was the information from 2007! This was the first year we did a package. We enjoyed the dinner and the show...it was wonderful!

I'm ready for Ohana's! ::yes::

Ok IckyMickey...you inspired me to get to 'Ohana's!

This was one of our favorites of the trip. We were seated in the main dining room and had a view of the castle. We were not right against the window but still the castle was easy to see. I wore my birthday button so this attracted a little extra attention. We meet up with another wonderful family and had a really special evening.

I copied the menu for everyone to see!

Fried Wontons served with peanut sauce, chimichurri sauce and harissa sauce
Mixed greens with a honey-lime dressing

Appetizers

Spicy-sweet and sour shrimp
Honey-coriander chicken wings

Skewers
Prepared over an oak fire

Marinated Sirloin Steak
Asian Barbecue Pork Loin
Mesquite Grilled Turkey
Hawaiian Pork-sausage with pineapple terriyaki glaze

Accompaniments

Maui Scalloped Potatoes
Stir-fried Vegetables

Dessert

'Ohana bread pudding a la mode with Bananas Foster Sauce

The sauces were yummy. The salad was very fresh and crisp. I think we had to order more of the potatoes. :thumbsup2 DS really loved the shrimp. I liked all the meats except for the pork sausage...it was tasteless to me. We didn't have a problem with the steak being under-cooked. The dessert is very very good. We ask for a second bowl and extra bananas foster sauce.

The lady leading the entertainment was really good. I need to look her name up. The boys and our friend had fun doing the coconut races. Since I was celebrating my 21st birthday ;) ;) I was choosen to lead the limbo parade. I really had a blast. I had to put on a Hawaiian skirt and a bunch of lays. I just happen to have a goofy picture of it. All the kids seemed to have fun doing the limbo! They also brought out a birthday cupcake. After we finished up dinner we watched wishes from inside the restaurant. :cloud9:

Ok...here is DS balancing a fork on his plate while he was waiting for our food!

The boys are loving everything!

Ok...here is the Limbo leader!:lmao: :lmao:

Overall the food and entertainment were both great. We also had a very nice server! This dinner was also special because we had great company to enjoy it with! Oh with the shrimp and chicken wings it's very messy but they bring out warm washcloths for you hands!

Thanks linda...are you ready for the 'Ohana pics.:lmao:

:lmao: boy does that bring back memories!!!! that was SO much fun!!! I can't remember her name either:rolleyes1 Tell your boys to come on over, I'll give them crab legs too. They're Kennys favorite! I always keep a box of king crab in the freezer!

can't wait to hear more!!:woohoo:

YM - I'm enjoying the dining reviews - I have to agree w/ you about WCC - we haven't eaten anything but breakfast there in a few years, and that's because we've always found it "eh..." . We LOVE their breakfasts, though. Their 'all you can eat' skillet in the morning is awesome.

Great. Now I'm hungry.
