Just wanted to remind everyone that profanity is not allowed here on the Dis. By using symbols such as $ * @ and such to get around the filter is also not allowed.

This is covered below from the posting guidelines from the Dis.

2. NO PROFANITY: Simply put, don't use swear words and don't post or link to suggestive or inappropriate photos. The boards are equipped with censoring software. If you try to use a profanity, it will be filtered and appear as all asterisks. Please don't get creative in an attempt to bypass the filters. This is considered the same as using the word itself and will result in an infraction. (30 points)

I reread Mikes explainations and it seems that'll get you an infraction.

I have gotten yelled at before for putting the first and last letters of a swear word with ** in between them. I did not realize the board has an automatic filter. I wasn't trying to bypass the filter, I was trying to MAKE a filter! Go figure

I have never gotten points for allowing the filter to do the work. It's it my understanding that if you type something like Bull $$&#, rather than Bull ****, you might get a warning. Or if you spell the word out in a slightly different manner, ie the word for female dog should not be spelled like Beyonce's name as is the familiar slang of the day.

Silly, because they are just words and they have no power unless you let them.
