Several guidebooks advise skipping those parks with EMH, as those tend to get crowded very early. True?

But wait, there's more. We are staying on-site (BWI, chosen by 10-yr-old DS) and thus are eligible for EMH. Are they worth hitting? Is there a difference in crowds? If so, is morning or evening EMH better to aim for (or both)? Once the EMH-affected park is open to the public, should we head out, relaxing at the hotel or trying our luck at another park? We're arriving second week in July.

I value your opinion, you folks are better than any guidebook. And I think I'm finally figuring out the abbreviations. Well, some of them. Did I use DS right?

Thanks.

Except for the AK and MK we don't do the early EMH. There is not enough open at either for my almost 15 year old DS (you are correct about Disney Son). We absolutely do Epcot and the Studios. The plan for any park is to get there before it opens. Do the rides and attractions you want using the stand-by lines while grabbing Fast Passes along the way for later riding. We always leave by noon before it gets really crowded. I understand that the evening EMH parks have been very crowded. I don't think this is true of the
AK since most people are finished there by early to mid afternoon. The first two hours of the evening EMH has been pretty bad, from what I have read.

We have been home two weeks from our trip and we LOVED the evening EMH! We hope they keep them. They were crowded but nothing like the crowds from the afternoon. For the first time we were able to go back to our room and swim and nap because we were going to be there so late. I really hope the evening EMH's are here to stay. We did not enjoy the eve at the studios as much but I think that is because we don't know our way around that park as well and we spent alot of time looking for what was open. The night at MK was great! I say "go" but take your nap first.

I am going to take advantage of most of the EMH, but my feeling is, well if it is more crowed that is okay since otherwise I would just be back in the room. If I ride rides fine, if I don't at least I enjoy people watching.
