Quick Question

So my dad says i can possibly get a new phone for my birthday in a few months and i have a blackberry curve right now, its really old though. all i have is calling and texting, which is fine cuz i dont need internet. but i want th bb torch but that is on AT&T and we have T-Mobile. so if i buy a bb torch from best buy can i just stick my SIM card into it or what? thanks for the help!

Unfortunately with the torch there is more to do than just switching the SIM card to be able to use it on another carrier. AT&T has different radio chips and frequencies than T-Mobile and even Verizon. However, you could unlock the torch but you won't be able to get 3G speed on T-Mobile because of the frequencies and the phone will be very slow. If you want to stick with a blackberry, I'd look at the bb bold, even though its not like the torch, its a solid phone. It has wi-fi and the new bb 6 operating system that is really good.
