Quick question - water fountains at DL?

Hi,

I remember seeing one in Toontown but are there water fountains throughout the park?
Or do we need to bring/buy bottled water?

I just checked a map I have and it doesn't have on the map where water fountains are, but there are usually one next to every restroom from what I remember.

We bring a couple water bottles and just refill those at the water fountains.

I know there's a water fountain in the POTC queue! Other then that, I tend to avoid them like the plague.

Callie will be proud of me for this one: You can refill your water bottles at the baby care center on Main Street. They have filtered water there.

At the first aid station one can refill their water bottle. One can ask either for a cup of ice, or a cup of water, at any of the CS restaurants, there is no charge, for such request.

There's also one in line for BTMRR. I think the rides with long outdoor queues have them.

Don't forget that you can always ask for free ice water at any counter if you want some or if you want to refill a bottle.

Both, but mainly because they aren't filtered. I just do not like the water in the Los Angeles area.

I'm gonna have to agree and say that I don't like the water in the Los Angeles area. I always buy bottled. The taste of water is a pet peeve of mine. I'm really big on how water tastes. Thats just me though

The first aid station also can provide filtered water at their water fountain. As far as I know, the baby center and first aid are the only two filtered water fountains in the park.

I'd be even more proud if you would have actually had a bottle to refill with you. Remember -- a hydrated cell is a happy cell.

There are also water fountains located along the exit from Indy. We hit them after getting off of the ride.

There are drinking fountains all throughout the Park. I don't mind the water, but I guess I just sort of know that drinking fountain water is just that. I usually take a bottle of water with me when I go and refill it at the various restaurants and drinking fountains.

If you have never used a camelback, I would also suggest checking them out. We used the fanny pack size one for WDW and it was great! I don't use it for my short few-hour-long Disneyland visits, but LOVED it for our WDW vacation.

if you don't want to have to refill your bottles, you might want to bring multiple ones in a backpack. we take our 4 children to disneyland, and i'm somewhat of a germa-phobe, so letting the kids use a public water fountain is torture for me, lol!

we've been to disneyland 100+ times, and typically would freeze our water bottles the night before so that they would slowly defrost during the day and we'd have cold water all day long. carrying several bottles in a backpack has never turned out to be a problem or nuisance for us (although, we push a stroller at the parks and typically the backpack is in the stroller), as some might expect it to be. this last trip, we had an insulated backpack, and that made it so that we could bring refrigerated water, rather than frozen water, which was kind of nice. it still stayed cold all day (and my kids' lips never touched an icky water fountain, much to my relief, lol).

There's also a fountain in the queue for SM.
If I ever filled up my water bottle, which I rarely do bc I don't bring one, I go to the eating places to fill it up like Plaza Inn or the French Market. They have outside places to fill up bottles and cups instead of going to the soda machines. It's probably the same fountain water, but w/out the fear of mouths being on it.
Other than that, the water fountains are everywhere in the park. Some are by restrooms, not all, and others are scattered.

There are a more than a few water fountains at Disneyland. This isn't ALL of them, but it's a good representation! I know I'm missing the pics of the SPace mountain fountains (in line), the Pirates fountain in line, the Star Tours Fountain near the exit up on top, before you get to the store ... and many others.

I'm extremely picky about my water, it has to taste just so. Seriously....that's almost all I drink so I am super picky about it. Anyway, we take or buy water bottles and bring them with us, we refill them in the park during the day, the best places are the baby care center and the first aid station, those are cold and taste good, my other choice is at Rancho Del Zocalo, they have a water spout in the middle of the dining area, I will refill there but try to avoid that, it does have a slightly off taste to it. Something else I will do is check the soda fountains that I can access, if there is water on those I will refill there as well. I always wipe off my bottle first and I never put it directly on any of the spouts.

We Buy a Case of Water And Soda to put in our room fridge, it is way Cheaper!! And we have the kind of soda we like. This last time we found 8 oz size diet cokes bottles. They were fabulous!! The lids were key, you could take a sip then chuke it back in our bag!!
