We will be at WDW the Dec. 20 - 26. We are wait-listed for the 19th. My birthday is the 19th, and we may come down early even if we can't get into our DVC home resort for the 19th. My idea is to go to Sea World on the 19th (a Sunday) to see the Christmas decorations. How wild (crowded) will it be? Would it be better to switch one of our Disney days (maybe the 20th) to a SW day? Just trying to plan. If I can get a good plan, then I can try to sell it to my DH.:goodvibes TIA

The 19th should be good. It will be crowded but nowhere near as bad as the week after christmas. The week after is insane with people. Sunday may be a better option too because last year, alot of the christmas themed shows were on weekends only. It may be different this year, but if your looking to catch some christmas themed shows, I would plan for a weekend day just to be safe.

SW does not really do the massive decorations like Disney does in some of its parks. They do add Christmas shows and change a ride to a Christmas theme. That said they do put up some lights and add a few things to be more Christmasy. They do have a great Santa in the Polar Express area.

Thanks. I knew SW doesn't go overboard on things. I was thinking that it would be something different to do (never done it at Christmas). I think we will go on the 19th. Even if it is crowded, we don't really ride anything. DS loves Pets Ahoy, likes to feed the sea lions, and wants to see the orcas. Those things, along with the decorations and Shamu Santa, should make for a full day! I had read your previous posts and hoped you could answer my questions. I appreciate it.
