Quick Question Re: Wilderness Lodge

Hi --

We're staying at WL for the first time in Feb (and I can't wait ). I've already requested Bunk Beds for our 2 kids, I think we have Woods View room and I'm planning on requesting to be a Flag Family. Are there any other things (i.e., room location) that we should request/be on the lookout for that will make our visit even more special?

We just returned from an amazing trip.

One thing I would highly recommend is a room with a view of the MK. Now technically there is no official MK view rooms, but they do have them. I believe if you are on the 5th flr or above you should see it no problem. Trees can be an issue in some rooms though.

Its not a do or die but I have to say it was amazing being able to watch the fireworks from my balcony.

We were in room 7048 if that helps.

We just got back a couple of weeks ago from the WL (our first stay too, it was amazing!) and had a woods view room. We watched Wishes from our room and could see the castle, but it was through the trees. We were in room 4032, so I would say 5032 or 6032 would have an awesome view! 7th floor is concierge. Have a great trip, you're gonna love the lodge!

Thanks for the info. We have been to WL severaltimes and had what we thought were great rooms, but nary a view of the castle or fireworks, which would mean the world to us. I'll try to request a specific room number, but not sure howlucky I'll get.

Definitely request a woods view room on the 5th or 6th floors. The numbers given by other posters seem right. We had one and the fireworks were a real treat, since we had two little ones who couldn't last that long in the parks.

We worked with Dreams Unlimited Travel to book our trip and they definitely know which rooms have a MK view. If you are working with them, let them know what you want. We were told it was an upgrade but they asked for it anyway and we got it.

FYI - if you check in during the daytime you may not know if you got the MK view. We couldn't see it at all. What a surprise when the fireworks went off our first night there! The next day we were able to see the castle in the distance since we remembered where it was from the night before.

Also, don't go out on the balcony to watch the fireworks. Tons of mosquitos!
