Hi! We're going to be staying at BCV in Nov. (hopefully!) and will be there 5 nights. Since we'll only be there part of the day on our arrival day and will be leaving early to catch a flight on our last day, would they sell us 4-day UPH passes or would we have to buy 5-day UPHs? I recall someone saying that they'd lop off either the first or last day, but I don't recall whether they'd do that for both the first and last day... Also, I'll be renting points from a DVCer for this stay. Do they still offer the DVC discount to people staying on DVC points or should I plan to buy advance-purchase park hoppers instead?? Any advice/information would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Sarah

Many here have reported that they were allowed to drop both the arrival day and departure day for UPH tickets. Have not heard that anyone was denied if they asked.

Technically, renters are not entitled to the 10% member discount on UPH tickkets. That said, renters have reported that they were given the discount. You can't count on it for sure, but there is a good chance.

Best wishes -

When you check in at the hotel, usually the clerk will ask you if you need park passes. Don't ask about "dropping days" or whatever - just tell her "I would like to buy a 4-day park hopper pass" or whatever you want. She will say OK. In my experience, if you just tell them what pass you want, no problem. The only people that enforce the number of days on the UPH passes are the WDW travel company / Central Reservations. It is their "rule" that when you buy a package and advance-purchase the UPH (at a small discount), your UPH has to correspond to the number of nights you stay. For most people, that is a ripoff because you either arrive late in the day, leave early on your departure day, or both. So UPH have gotten a bad rap - unecessarily so.

Before I bought DVC, I rented twice and we got the discount on the passes. Again, no reason to bring this up to the clerk, just ask if you can get the DVC discount. more than likely, she will say yes.
