So, we booked our hotel at the POFQ for January 6th through January 11th (5 nights) and I've never booked before rates for the next year came out before... I'm a little confused though because I thought that week was "value season" with rates starting at $149 a night.. we were charged $230 a night.. does that seem high to anyone else? Or did we get charged peak rates because we booked during peak time? Will we be credited later?

I'd appreciate any thoughts or suggestions. This is our first time at the POFQ.

Thanks!

ETA: I expected that we would have an increase in our room rate since it's the next years rates.. I'm just trying to figure out what the current rate should be.. I hope that makes sense

from what I understand, if you book before the prices come out for the next year, you are charge the going rate for the highest priced season (which is Holiday) as your deposit, and when the new rates come out they adjust it for the new prices.

Oh Thanks! Of course we put the whole thing on our Disney Visa card so we've already paid for it.. (because I'll be paying off the Visa card next month) so I guess we'll watch our Visa statement in September.
