Quick question on free dining

Free dining starts on Nov 15th so if our reservations are from Nov 2nd - 15th would we still qualify?

No, you have to check in during that period.

Thanks everyone! Darn it!!!!! Now I'm wondering if the dining plan will be worth it.. I love the thought of no worrying about cost while we are there but I also just had weight loss surgery and don't eat much but I also have a 15yr old, 5yr old and husband going with me.. I will have to start to do some cost comparisons..

With just having the surgery I would guess the plan is not worth it for you. If cost is a consideration then the DDP is not normally a way to save money.

Do you have a card or something you can bring stating you had the surgery. My friend had it, and she can order the children options because she has something that states she had the surgery

Do the math, but for me it would not be worth it. Best way I think to compare is look at what you would normally eat and calculate that cost. The DDP forces lots of things on you, that if you wouldn't normally order - not really a value then. I would normally order water and no dessert so those two items take value off the plan.

Disney does not honor the WLS card. Adults can order children's menu items regardless, but buffet and DP costs would still be adult.

Disney will not look at the card. Most all restaurants allow adults to order off of the children's menus at a la carte TS and at QS venues.

Only at a la carte though. Full adult price would still be paid at buffets, AYCE, fixed price restaurants, special meal packages, and dinner shows. If you are going to do a lot of these, there won't be a reduced price, so the TS credits would be worth the same for you as they would be for anyone else.
