Just managed to get a booking at the Cape May Café for a character breakfast (CM was all booked out; knew I should have called...oooh about 5 months ago? :lmao:) but I've read that holiday pricing applies - anyone know if they're applying this over the Easter weekend/spring break?

From allears.net :)

The holiday surcharge for buffet and character meals around the World is returning, as previously announced. Prices for meals during these dates will be several dollars more per person than at other times of the year. The dates affected are April 5 - April 18, 2009, and May 24 - July 11, 2009. For example, at the Magic Kingdom's Crystal Palace, prices will be as follows:

Breakfast: $22.99/Guest (10 and older)--$12.99/Guest (3-9) (regularly $18.99/$10.99)
Lunch: $24.99/Guest (10 and older)--$13.99/Guest (3-9) (regularly $20.99/$11.99)
Dinner: $34.99/Guest (10 and older)--$16.99 Guest (3-9) (regularly $28.99/$13.99)

Yes, pricing goes up for Easter and Christmas.

If you use DDP - you will be fine.

If you pay OOP, expect another $2-$5 per adult for buffets. I am not sure how it works for ala cart pricing.

For us - we are 4 adults (kids over 9) - if we stay at a WDW resort, we will do DDP for Easter. We would eat one TS per day, lets say extra $20 per day with the holiday surcharge $'s, so for 10 days that would be a $200 savings using DDP.

If we stay at the Dolphin - then less TS and more CS to save the holiday surcharge $'s.

It does not apply to a la carte restaurants, only the fixed-price ones.
