Quick question about Soarin at Epcot...

Is the Epcot version of Soarin also a flyover of California? Can't wait to check this ride out!

Yes the movie is the same as CA. I think it is great because there are so many different things to fly over.

It is the same and it is the best ride in all of WDW. Go and enjoy but get there early and use FP.

I agree - get there EARLY !! We saw lines that were over an hour long before 11am !! It is my familys new favorite ride !!

It is currently the same. As part of Disneyland's 50th Anniversary celebration, Soarin' was "brought over" from Disneyland as a "gift", in marketing terms.

However, I have heard that in the not so distant future, Disney plans to replace the California film with a flyover of Florida (though I question how interesting that maybe because of lack of variety in the geography).

We will be in Epcot Sat. Oct.1. Right now my plan is to be there when gates open, send one person to get FP's for Mission Space, ride Test Track then Mission Space. I will not be riding Mission Space but,the other adults will so, I'll take the children (ages 4, 5 and 7) over and get in line for Soarin after TT. If the park opens at 9 we should be there by 9:30 or so with the others following by 9:45 so. Is the line set up so, the others can easily join us? I imagine I'll be waiting at the very minimum 15-30 minutes on a Saturday, the first day of the Food and Wine Festival.

Alternative idea...If Soarin' is a FP ride, I guess I could keep everyones passes and Fast Pass Soarin' do HISTA then come back to Soarin'. Please let me know what you all think.

I don't think Disney will be too hasty to change this just yet. Judging by the modifications made at Tower of Terror, I would think that Soarin' will remain as is for about 2 years, then it may change just to give it "a shot in the arm" if it is needed by then.

Totally speculation on my part!

Where in EPCOT is Soarin?

You have to go inside The Land Pavillion. It is on the ground floor level. We were just there on Sunday and we were not in a rush to get to anything else. There was a 40 minute wait for the stand-by line. As I said we were not in a rush to get any where, so we got in the line. We rode the ride and were off the ride before the 40 minutes

OH! Are the wait times/Fast Passes outside of The Land, or do you have to go all the way in to the ride?

You have to go into The Land and to the lower level at the ride to get FP's. But, I would strongly suggest if you are going to EPCOT to go on Soarin', be there when EPCOT opens and go directly to Soarin'. Because any later there will be a major wait for the regular line, and after you get off grab a FP to go again later. It is awesome!!!
