Quick question about re- booking while board...

If you are already going on a Disney cruise and plan book a OBB while on board..
Can you book the cruise at home (to lock in a cheaper price, just in case )
Then Compare prices when you get onboard (the Price you locked in VS. the current price w/ OBB)

example..
I booked a cruise for August 2017 on opening day (no OBB)
We are taking a cruise in OCT 2016..

Can I re- book that same August cruise while on our OCT 2016 to get the OBB if cheaper?

If so can you please explain the process..Will be using Costco TA
Could it be just as simple has having 2 reservation for the same cruise..
And canceling one when I get home

You can book now to lock in prices and then when on board you would as the OBB rep that you would like to reshop the cruise. If the discount and OBB ends up being cheaper they will cancel the original rez and rebook you in the same cabin and they can name Costco as your TA

If the cruise the locked in price in is already with Costco..
Would the agent on board still be able to cancel it??

And if not will I still be able to reshop and book the cheaper one?

When I reshopped a cruise I had booked with a TA (not Costco). I had to have the TA cancel the original cruise once I disembarked. DCL rep was not able to do the cancel.

you were still able to book and get the OBB?

Nothing else to do after canceling the original on disembarktion?

Yes, got the OBB. When the TA cancelled the original, she was also able to modify the new reservation to use the origina stateroom, which obviously was unavailable when we booked onboard.

As PP said you will have two bookings for the same cruise and have to get costco to cancel one. You get your original deposit back a couple of days later.
