For the envelope that the response card goes in, do you put THEIR return address on it for them (besides your own address to get them back to you) or do you let your guests worry about putting their own return address on it?

I let them worry about putting there own address. Most didnt even do that since they knew our address was right since we put it.

We only put our address to mail it to us and left the return part blank.

Nobody added their own address and we received all of them back without a hitch. :goodvibes

Great, thanks everybody! One less thing to do! Guess if anything goes wrong or gets lost in the mail I can always just call them. Back to work makin these things!

We only put our address on them, a few of my guests put theirs on it but it didn't matter because I filled in their names on response card (I wanted to be clear who was invited and how many since we were very clear on guest count.) so I knew who they were from.

I didn't put their address on the RSVP card and we received one back that said "no" they weren't coming but neglected to put their name on the card and did not put a return address either. It took me a few weeks to figure out who wasn't coming (since we sent several to the same area).

In the future if I ever do that again I'll add addresses for them! :)

Someone alluded to this already, but don't let guests writing in a return address be the only way you can match an RSVP card to whomever sent it! I wouldn't have thought of this myself beforehand so thank goodness I saw people discussing it somewhere! We numbered the final guestlist and penciled in a corresponding number on the back of each rsvp card very lightly so we could match them up later!

Excellent idea! Thank you so much! I didn't even think about not being able to match up who was who, just thinking that people would write their names in, where it says "Name___" :lmao: But I'll be doing this to make my life easier.

We did the same numbering thing. Out of the 50 invitations we sent out, two came back with a No answer but they did not fill in their names. One was on my side and one was on DH side. I was very glad for the numbering system. Whenever I get an invitation like this I check the back.
