wE ARE STAYING AT THE GF AND WAS WONDERING SHOULD WE DRIVE, BUS OR MONORAIL IT? MOST CONVENIENT VS QUICKEST

I would take the monorail to the TTC and transfer to the Epcot monorail. It's such a great experience to zoom by SSE and over the FW section, then to loop back to the station.
It's fast and convenient. :)

Monorail to TTC then MonoRail to EPCOT. Quick and clean.

Alternate. Take the bus.

Only drive if you: have an early breakfast and are running late, a late dinner and will leave after the Monorail shuts down, or, you just don't like to ride the monorail,

Is there anybody who doesn't like to ride the monorail ?!?!:smooth:

I would drive.

I like the monorail, but it will take almost an hour to get to Epcot.

There is no bus between GF and Epcot

Sorry, I can't agree.

Ride from GF to TTC - 15 min.

Ride from TTC to Epcot - 14 min.

Even if you wait a bit for the monorail at TTC, it will not take almost an hour.

Driving will be faster. You'll probably do less walking with the monorail, so that might make it more convenient for you. But, you'll have to wait for the first monorail, make stops, then wait for another monorail...so that might make it less convenient.

If you really want to take the Monorail why don't you walk to the Polynesian since you're staying at the Grand Floridian and from there walk to the TTC and get the Epcot Monorail.

That will work, but (unless there is some kind of unusual monorail delay) it will actually take longer to walk to TTC from GF than to take the monorail from GF to TTC.

Many who stay at the GF, Poly and Contemporary do so for the convenience of the monorail. I'd take advantage of that.

Yeah, or you could take a canoe to Timbuktu, hop on a plane back and walk from the airport.

Why make it so complicated and time consuming? Yeesh, by the time you got to the TTC on foot, you'd have been at Epcot using your car.

If you have the ability to drive and don't have a problem doing so, I would drive. We spent a few days deciding not to drive on our last trip and found that buses/boats/monorails/trams they all take a lot longer than just walking to the parking lot and getting in our own car and driving. Some people don't really enjoy driving while on vacation but I don't enjoy much sitting around waiting for someone else to take me where I want to go while on vacation.

The monorail would be the other choice, and I really don't see it taking an hour to get there from GF, It should go quite smoothly unless it is crazy busy.

I would say the monorail is the best for the experience, and it is nicer to have someone else "drive" at the end of the day.

Driving is the fastest time-wise.

when we stay at the GF we take the monorail...

How long does it take you to get to Epcot?

For the OP, my original post stating it would take almost an hour is a worst case scenario. But I wouldn't plan it taking only 29 minutes as Robo has posted if you are trying to make an ADR.

Most everybody has at one time or other, been sitting stopped between the GF and MK waiting for the station to clear. The walk between platforms at the TTC, and the waiting for the monorails, all add up.

wow ..... I am confused ..lol
I guess i will do the monorail from the poly since i wanted to check it out for our next trip. Thanks people. we are leaving in 16 hours.yah:banana:

Bus is fastest from GF to EPCOT. It may not be exotic, but it is more direct than doing the monorail. If you take the monorail, consider that you have to stop at MK, CR, then the TTC. These stops always seem to have delays of one sort or another, when I ride that resort loop. Then of course you have to transfer, wait for another monorail, and take it. It may not take an hour, but 45 minutes is optimistic. It has taken me well over an hour to do a similar trip before, though, because the resort monorail sat between CR and the TTC for about 20 minutes.

If you take a bus, you may have a 10 minute wait for a bus, then you're off to EPCOT for maybe a 10 minute ride.

I prefer busing to driving, mostly because I can't stand riding those parking lot trams.

If you have plenty of time, the monorail can be fun. Just know it's not the fastest way.
