I have a quick question about FTP. I thought the prices said $$ for adult (double occupancy)??
But I saw someone else mention not passing up the FTP deal and going by themself with 2 children.

So is that possible? To do the FTP WITHOUT double occupancy on the adult? What about one adult and one child?

When I read about it- I thought well.... that's kinda discriminatory against those going with only one adult or what about single parents?

So can anyone help me with this question?

(oh and while I'm at it- how long does it usually take to get a reply from dreamsunlimitedtravel.com after they've given you the quote for a vacation and you email asking a question and/or change something? Just curious... haven't gotten a reply yet but maybe it's because a weekend was in there?)

BibbidyBobbidyBoo,
The way I understand it, there is the cost of the room for charging for 4 nights, but giving you 7 (double or single occupancy--is the same), then there is the cost of the UPH per individual--(they are charging for 5 days, but they give you 8). Then, there is the cost of insurance per adult (if you opt to take it). You can also add the silver package on at the rate of $68.00 per day per adult (I don't remember what it was for children).

I spoke with the folks at CR last night because I booked a week with my wife and 2 kids. I then wanted to add a second room for my Mother to come along. I was told that the package price was for "double adult occupancy".

The room is a set price. That price is split between the two adults. You then add on the park passes for the 2 adults and you get the base room rate for the package.

The children stay in the room for free, but you have to add the $295 each for their park passes, hence the $295 additional per child.

So if you have a single adult in a room, you have to carry the price of the entire room on that adult, plus park passes. This came to roughly $960 for Coronado in October.

Thanks for the replies. Considering we already have the bounce back rate on the room for Aug/Sept and I have a PAP and plan on getting a PAP for my oldest since we'll be making another trip in Nov/Dec together- the FTP is not for us I don't think. The rest of my family can get 7 day PHP with breakfast voucher and have 2 days/2 plus left on their tickets after this trip.... plus the 1 day left on their other park hoppers from previous trip- to pretty much cover yet another trip in the future! So it's a good deal... but just doesn't work out well for us. Ohwell! :)

We have room only res. for Aug at all star movies. Its 2 adults, 1 teen(14) and 1 teen (13). We usually buy 5day hopper when we are there. We will prob. go to Sea World, and usually have a day off. Now I really dont know if I should try to book fairy tale pkg. or not. Cause we have 9 nts. at movies. Can you get pkg. for more than 7 nts., or would it be cheaper to do it all sep. With len. of stay pass it expires, wheter you use it or not. With the 5 or 6 day hop. pass it does not expire. I m not sure which to try.

You can do it for more than 7 nights- because I tried our vacation at several resorts on disneyworld.com. Ofcourse it just costs more. I'm not sure how they figure it- but you aren't limited to just 7 nights, I know that.
That's the reason I think this won't work for us. Not only because of the APs but also because we may not go to the parks or water parks every single day to make it worth it. I'm thinking I'd rather have the PHPs because any days not used wouldn't expire. I have a feeling I won't be able to JUST do Disney while there- my son's going to throw a fit to go to IOA again... Spiderman you know.
LOL

The way I understand it, you get up to 3 nights free as long as you pay for at least 4. Friends traveling with us got six nights a cost the same as our seven nights. For nine nights, you would pay for six nights and get the other three for free.
