The CP dining packages are supposed to be available on July 26, and I want to book as soon as I can. Can someone who has booked CP dining in the past tell me the best time to book? Do they start taking ressies online at12:01 AM.. or just sometime in the early morning hours whenever? Or do they simply put them in inventory in the morning when the call ressies are available?

Any help greatly appreciated. This will probably our only chance to do WDW at holidays before my girls are headed to college, so want to do it all!!

I've never booked but I have been researching since I plan on doing it too. You have to call Disney dining, booking will not be available online (that's what a CM told me when I asked, while finally booking my F! dining package on Tuesday). 7am EST is when the phone reservation system opens. I had to take a few hours off work that day so I can make the call since I go in at 6am, I want to make sure I call at exactly 7am and who knows how long I will be on hold. :scared1:

I don't think I've ever seen where you can make online. Also, remember there are usually 3 shows a day, so if you can't get one time you may be able to get another.

Last time I made reservations, I think I got my 2nd choice restaurant. I had wanted Rose & Crown but it was booked so I picked Teppen Edo, since it was close to the theatre.

Same here:thumbsup2I'll be dialing at 6am CST sharp and I have a plan with several dining spots and cp dates marked so I can just go down the list until one of the combinations is booked:idea:

Yep, only phone bookings. You cant do online for the package. Start calling a couple min before 7am EST. If you get the recording they are closed, hang up immeadiately and re-dial. You never know if their time is a minute or two earlier or later than your clock.

Good luck and hopefully you get your first choice pixiedust:

Last year I called at 7 am eastern the day the booking started. I was on my cell and thank heavens it didnt cost me anything. I was on hold for at least 20 minutes.

I was prepared and said:
Candlelight Package
X Date
6:45 show
Chefs de France

I got what I wanted, but I had a backup restauraunt and date too in case nothing worked out.

So on Tuesday I will be ready to do it again

6:45 show and I will probably try Tutto this time.

If you're trying to get ressies for the 6:45 show will you be booked for a lunch or dinner? I've heard that the reservations are usually several hours before the show. What's been your experience? This will be our first time too.

In the past it was around a minimum of 2 to 2/12 hours before, so latest ressie for 6:45 show would be around 4:30. Seems like I read somewhere that the 6:45 ressies were 3:00 to 4:30 :)

So... technically it will be a "dinner" since the lunch menus I think end around 2-3 if I'm not mistaken.

That's what I was afraid of. I was hoping to book Le Cellier, but it's only available for lunch so I guess I'll go back to the drawing board. :confused3

Yep... LC is a bummer now, because most likely the only show you can go to will be the 5:00 show. I want to go when it's dark

Can't decide now, either going to do LC and go early, or do Chef de France and go at 6:15 :)

Well it is done! We went ahead and booked LeCellier for lunch and are going to 5:00 show. Would have preferred a later show, but already had LC ressie for afternoon, so made more sense. It will be our first time going so any time will be amazing! Can't Wait !!! :woohoo: popcorn:: :dance3:
