Quick Question about ART Passes

I purchased ART passes from Get Away Today a few days ago and I guess I'm not really sure how it works. Are they physical passes that come in the mail or am I supposed to get something in my email to print out? When you ride the bus, do you have a paper pass that they scan, can you show it to them on your phone, etc? (We've never used ART before!)

The actual ART Pass is a typical bus pass used by many transit agencies. A credit card size piece of cardboard with a magnetic strip on it. The fist use, there is a place to enter it into a printer on the fare box, where the actual start time is printed. Then every other time, you just swipe the pass in the fare box. If you want to use the OCTA Public Bus system, just show the pass to the driver so he can see the printed info.

Some vouchers can be redeemed at your Hotel, some are mailed the actual ticket, not sure what GetAwayToday does.
