Quick Q re ADRs and Free Dining Plan

Hi --

For our visit in early Dec with the Dining Plan, I'm planning on doing our ADRs in June. If a free Dining Plan is ultimately announced after June for our time frame, do I need to redo my ADRs if I change my package to include the free Dining Plan?

Um, well, aside from that history indicates there will NOT be free dining during your stay – no, you would not have to redo your dining reservations.

No - you would not have to change your ADRs. No way will Disney offer free dining in December. The holidays are a very busy time for Disney and they don't need free dining to entice visitors. However, I did get a great rate on a room only reservation at All Star Movies last December. When I called to make a reservation, the CM informed me that I had a pin code attached to my name. It was a great surprise! Unfortunately, I wasn't one of the lucky ones to get a postcard for the 40% discount for this summer on a room only reservation.

Thanks for the info! Good point about the holidays, I'm hoping it will be a little slower the week of the 9th. I won't hold my breath for the free dining!

Whether or not you change the status of your DIning Plan (keep it, get it free, cancel it) will make no difference for your ADRs. You can cancel or change your ROOM reservations and it still will have no impact on your ADRs.

The odds of free dining in Dec is slim. Free dining is just a way to get the rooms booked up. They don't really have a problem with that in Dec.

Free Dining is typically offered during the peak of the hurricane season where demand has dropped as guest found themselves confined inside resort as storms passed. Free dining is used to lure vacationers to WDW during this time period.
