Quick PS question

We are planning a trip for May 14th-21st and I was wondering about Priorty seating. We are trying the meal plan this time and It is only my husband and I. We probably wont do a character meal but would like to try some of the sit down restaurants. In the past we have done mostly counter service. Do I need to call this far in advance to get PS for non character meals? If so which ones seem to book up quickly. Probably not doing the signature restaurants just the regular ones. Thanks

Although sometimes it is possible to get into a restaurant without a PS, there will usually be a wait. Other restaurants will book up and you may be shut out. Eating at off times may help some though.
If there is any place that you know you definitely want to eat at, I would go ahead and book a PS. You can always cancel it if need be.

i would definitely make some ps. we went at the end of may the year before last and the wait was TERRIBLE at many restaurants. i have been making my ps for june and the phone lines are busy and i haven't always been able to get my first choice on the time - so even for june some of the time slots are filling up. with a little planning now, i think your dining would be a lot less stressful. plus, no "where do you want to eat" "i don't care, where do you want to eat" conversations!
