Day 2
We got up and met in front of our building at 8. We all had breakfast at Classic Hall and headed for the bus for MGM. We JUST missed one so we had to wait, but it was only about 20 minutes.
We got through the gates at about 9:15 and DSis and I grabbed FPs for TOT, the posted wait was 20 minutes at this point. We went over with DSis, DMom and I walked onto RNR (DSis and I used our parents’ tickets to get FPs on the way in since we knew they wouldn’t need any). The posted time was 10 minutes but we walked right into the preshow room! This was DM’s first time on it…she really liked it but once was enough for that day! Next we went over to the GMR. For the first time EVER, we walked in the front door and right into the preshow room. The crowds were so light that we were weaving at all and only waited about 5 minutes in here. After that we were just in time to see Lights, Motor, Action! DS and I had seen it in the spring, but we knew our DD would really like it and he did. It’s a good show, but I’m not into cars enough to go see it unless someone else in my party really wanted to.
It was time for our FPs for TOT, so DD and DM went on the backlot tour while DS and I rode TOT and RNR. On our way to RNR I heard my quote for the day. There was a guy walking with a group of people and someone asked him out TOT was. He said, “Well, it’s a lot like the Haunted Mansion, just real souped up!!!! DS and I cracked up!! We met up with DD and DM again for lunch at the Backlot Express. After lunch we did the Muppets and then Star Tours (DM sat this one out). DS and I had grabbed more FPs for TOT so we decided to ride one more time on our way out of the park. We walked right on, but we would have done that even without FPs. There was NO LINE. It was nuts!! Anyway, we went through the whole ride, got to the very end when your elevator is supposed to back up and turn towards the exit door, and the audio kept going, but we didn’t. The audio ended and now we were sitting there in complete darkness…not moving at all!! A few seconds later the lights came on and we got the “stay seated” message. We sat there for about 15 minutes…everyone was just talking and laughing, we had a good group thankfully! I was in the back row on the end and I heard this voice ask if we were all ok! Then a big door opened behind us. They had to jack up our elevator and bring a step stool to get us all off! We walked through a prop room and out a door and then they let us go down in the “chicken” elevator and ride again! It was neat!!
After all that we grabbed the bus back to Pop. It was warm so DS and I grabbed a cocktail at Petals and sat by the pool for a little while. We changed and headed back to MK about 5:30 or so. When we got there, DS and I headed for Splash while DM and DD went on Pirates. The posted time was 20 minutes, I think we waited 10. They met us at the exit and we all went and did HM together. We decided we were hungry so we grabbed some dinner at Pinocchio’s. It was about 7:20 at this point so we headed into the Hall of Presidents which I hadn’t see in about 7 years, I love it! When that let out it was almost Spectro time and it was packed. We found a spot on the steps of the Diamond Horseshoe and watched…it’s my favorite!! We had planned to stay for Wishes, but we were beat so we tried to beat the crowds out and watch from outside MK. We got to the Pop bus stop and they were loading 2 busses at once. They asked if anyone wanted to stand to fill one and we said yes! The good news is that we didn’t have to wait. The bad news is that the driver took the longest route back to Pop ever! We went past EVERY resort I think!!! Everyone just kept saying “Where is he going??” DS and collapsed into bed by 10!

Tomorrow -Epcot

Enjoyed reading your report ~ Thanx for sharing :goodvibes

You sure seemed to have bad luck catching those buses. You need to leave five minutes earlier next time ;)
