:) Please vote above and tell me why you picked the one you did. We're going in August and can't decide which park to go to with our DD5 and DS2.5. TIA!

We love Typhoon Lagoon mostly because of the wave pool. However, both TL and BB have a cute kids themed areas. TL even has a little tube slide for the kids where they sit in the tube and go around and down a little water path. My DD loved it when we took her in 2004. She was three then. Either park is fun but BB has more water slides and TL has lots of slides but they also have the wave pool which is our favorite.

We like TL better overall, the wave pool is lots of fun for our older child and adults. And it has a slide near the wave poolt that DD5 loves. But we find Ketchakiddie Creek to be smaller and more congested than Tike's Peak at BB.
When we go with just the girls (our 18month old and the 5 year old) we prefer BB's play area, so we go there.

If it's included in your tickets, I'd say Typhoon Lagoon is generally a better choice with little ones. We think their little kids area is better and they do have some little shallow water areas along the edge of the wave pool that are nice for little ones, plus a small slide near the wave pool that would probably be about perfect for your five year old.

However, if it isn't included in your tickets, personally, I wouldn't pay any extra for a waterpark with kids that little. There just isn't that much for them there. They'll be just as happy in your resort pool.

After over 30 trips, all including children, our family favorite remains Typhoon Lagoon. I think it has more shade than BB and in August with the Florida sun that is important to us. My Grandson is 4 and will be going on his 4th trip this August he liked the play area at both water parks about the same. Both have tube slides for the kids and both have water slides, BB has a few more. We have taken him on the family raft ride since he was 2 and he loves that also!
We go at least once every year and this year we will have 6 children with us
ages: 9, 6, 4, twins 18 months and a 4 month old. We are doing both water parks but will not be spending a whole day there. It is just too hot and too much sun even for the 4 year old...not to mention Grandma and Great Grandma. lol

:thumbsup2 Thank you for your replies! Shade is key for my little fair skinned ones. We have the park hoppers with water park options thanks to my parents surprising us with this trip. Looks like TL is looking better for us. Any more opinions would be greatly appreciated.

We really enjoyed Typhoon Lagoon because of the shade. It is my favorite water park. But if you have small kids that like to sit in the water and play than Blizzard is better. The kid area is covered in a soft foam. I couldn't find anywhere for my infant to sit at Typhoon that was not rough.

We have tried out both parks and I think that BB would be better. BB when we first the kids were 7 and 4. THe pre-teen area (ski patrol) was perfect for both of them. There is a zero entry pool where the 2 year could play--slides that he could slide and also things for the 5 year old to do. The family raft ride is awesome.

Now TL just went first of June mainly because we have a 9 mth old. Well I could see where 2 and under would like this area--but for older kids there is nothing excpet this or big rides. IMO there just isn;t enought for them. What there is for them to do you have to carry the float and BB you don't. THat in itself is enough for me.

Hope this helps/
